I ❤ Kielder!! I have a mini-break with the girls there every year when it’s the Trail Outlaws Dark Skies weekend and I always feel the same as soon as we arrive, just instantly calm! Have only ever ridden the 26mile loop of the reservoir but that’s plenty for me! 😂 Looking forward to the dirty reiver footage! 😊

I had my first gravel event this weekend too! I walked a few downhills. Got super scared on the first one because I couldn’t get stopped right away and thought I was going to wreck, DID eventually get stopped but then I had to sit there for a few minutes while my eyes sorted themselves out. 😂 But then it got better!

Glad you enjoyed the views around Keilder Reservoir. Fun factoid: I slept on the more comfortable seats at the Pret in Weatherby Services during last year's Great North Road 400km PBP qualifying audax at audax-o-clock. Obviously not as comfy as a teeppee, but sorted me out for the last slog to Darlington

It pains me loins (I don’t know if that even makes sense) to see the cold temperatures you endure to cycle in the spring. I have only ridden one or two days in the 60’s (F) since January. Otherwise, it has been 70’s the rest of the time. I don’t think I could tolerate the cold the way you do. The UK is so beautiful. I just want to see some warm weather for you to ride in.
