I think instead of trying to remember the “up and down in life” trick, just recognize that you always start with a “true”. Then from you starting point, you have a vertical equation and a horizontal equation

Sensitive boy is brought down Specific boy do well and go up! Positive boy go forward in life Negative boy go back in life :)

For the PPV you can also think: positive to the RIGHT, because the "right" way is he positive way
