You might have mentioned it and I missed it but you can get ‘priority service’ from the electricity providers. Depending on your level of need this can include provided generators.

My partner was given DLA for life and then he had to swap over to PIP which was the most stressful thing ever. He was first told he wasn’t getting anything and then had to go to a tribunal where he got the daily care, but no mobility aspect. Pretty daft though considering he has cerebral palsy and his walking is affected though. When I came to apply for PIP, I got nothing at first too but ended up with care and mobility after the tribunal. The whole PIP system is a mess!! I use pre-packaged veg too because knives freak me out and cause me to have panic attacks. People call me lazy for it too which is so annoying!
