In this video I detail how to completely remove the back seat area of my 2015 Dodge Challenger. Removing seats, interior Trim and the rear deck to install my new custom seat belts from Seatbeltplanet.com.
This video can be used as an instructional video if you need to access all the rear speakers, run wiring or simply remove the seats for weight reduction.

Added a backup camera - my 2012 SRT didn’t come with one - and a two channel dashcam (front & rear). The front panel removal was easy and intuitive, but the panels rear of the front seats concerned me and I didn’t want to damage anything. Your video was exactly what I needed to do the wire runs without a hitch. Excellent, thorough video which made the job simple - and your suggestion to remove the seats, was bang on! Great job!

Thank you SO much for discovering the way to R&R the panels without damage. That saved me from the worry you went through as you blazed the trail. I'm an auto tech and we had a hellcat challenger come in with the rear seat delete close out package. I had to remove that and install everything from the actual seats to the seat belts. You were the biggest help by far in all the internet. Thanks, you saved me hours of trying to figure it out myself.

I love your Videos ! Yesterday i installed the Shifter-Paddles and paint the Inlays of the Steeringwheel in pitchblack on my 2015er R/T. For disassembling the airbag, i made a "special-tool". Now, in 10 Sec. the job is done. Greetings from germany.....

Wondering if anyone else got hear interested in removing weight from their Dodge Charger or challenger lol. Curious what all that stuff weighed it removed. Some say 200-300lb doubt it though by looking at what you removed. Great video and well explained!

The irony of this video and later in the day seeing Demonology get his rear seat delete kit installed at the dealership. Doesn’t seem as bad or hard to do but just a bit time consuming. The seatbelts look great BTW

i had a rear deck rattle on my 2015 scat pack and i had the dealer fix it since it was under warranty and i guess it was a big enough issue for it to have a common fix

Yes and in later models they installed some insulation between the deck and the window.

I was surprised to see the Harman Kardon speaker was attached to the trim and not the frame. Can that speaker be changed from the front, or does the panel have to come out? Mine is buzzing…..🙄

Due to the rain 6 hours, if it were a nice day and I didn't need to prep and change my cloths every hour it would have been 4 or less.

When I watched the front seat belt swap video I was feeling like I don't feel comfortable...but now that I watched this even though you took more stuff out it doesn't really seem that bad.....I have color samples coming from safetyrestore.com, have you checked into them? They only charge $75 per seat belt to re-web it and they have lots of colors too. I might take this on, after I watch this a few more times maybe I will feel comfortable doing this....Thank you for the tutorial, awesome work!

No idea sorry, This wasn't for weight reduction, it was to replace the seat belts.

I would recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal for this task.

@@WorkPlayDrive Thanks for the reply...Have been looking at the service manual under Body and Restraints to get torque values and I concur...FYI they say to deactivate the SRS by lifting the negative battery terminal and waiting a couple of minutes for the capacitors to discharge. They also say to unplug the Intelligent Battery Sensor first if you have one. Never heard of it before now but these cars have an Occupant Classification Module under the center console by the shifter that if turned over while connected activates the air bags for a vehicle roll-over. (Glad that when I had the console out and wondering what that box was I didn't mess w/ it.)....Getting ready to undo the rear seat delete mod. Thought I would provide some additional info on Intelligent Battery Sensor. Had to replace mine under warranty and found out that Dodge no longer recommends removing the Intelligent Battery Sensor (unplugging the connector). This requires that anytime the negative battery cable be lifted that it be removed via the 10mm nut that holds the cable to the bracket attaching the IBS to the battery post. The battery negative post bracket is never removed so that the IBS will stay powered. (Think about how to replace a battery w/o loosing power to the IBS.) Discovered this because the after race cooldown feature would not activate because of Battery Status...IBS was goofed up and nothing wrong w/ battery. Also found out if you need to lift the negative battery cable open the doors before you do it or you have the potential to goof up the window seals.

The rear seats are roughly 35 lbs total.

@@WorkPlayDrive Here’s some more info: Floor mats + rear seats + trunk liner + air compressor for tire = 70.4lbs. Plus if you have the spare tire and take that out as well, it’s 116lbs. 116lbs!

Most of the time I research what I can, then sometimes like with this video I take it apart slowly, figure it out, then make a video on what I learned (so I remember) and to help others. This car is my "stress relief" I enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together again. I'd love to get a GT as a second challenger so I can be cool in the snow :)

Grab a passenger and have them press one various areas while driving my issue was the rear deck was loose and rattled
