Very interesting. I have a EA873 which looks very similar but the screws for the bean tank is different already but i cant find any videos about the EA873 (intuition preference) opening the housing. Therefore I'm not sure about how to do it. Grüße Tobi

Habe gerade meine wieder zu laufen gebracht, allerdings war bei mir die Lötstelle beim Temperatursensor dirket (die weissen Kabel) und nicht Platinenseitig lose. Aber Vielen Dank für die Hilfe alleine beim zerlegen des Gerätes.

Hallo, vllt. weißt Du was es ist !? bei meiner Krups EA897 (ohne display) kommt nach ca. 6-7 Tassen immer wieder das "K" (leuchtet) für intensive Reinigung mit Tablette. Diese Reinigung soll aber eigentlich nur 3 mal im Jahr angefordert gemacht werden !?? Die Reinigung mit und ohne Tablette läuft auch einbahnfrei durch nur kommt sie nach ca. 6-7 Tassen wieder.....

Hi! thanks for the great video! How old was that machine and did you find mold in the inside of it? As far as I can see, most of the dirt looks like dry, ground coffe, right? What was it like at the bottom of the machine? I am currently hesitating to buy one due to the brewing unit which is not accessible. Schöne Grüße

Hallöle Habe die Maschine für Bekannte repariert Über das Alter kann ich nichts genaues sagen, irgendwo hab ich nen Kleber mit 12/2018 gesehen Drinnen war wirklich nur das alte Kaffeepulver, sonst nichts, alles recht sauber Die Brühgruppe ist nach dem Auseinanderbauen recht gut zugänglich, mit ner Flaschenbürste kommt man da ran denke ich LG Ludwig ______________________ I have repaired the machine for friends About the age I cant say anything specific, somewhere I've seen a sticker with 12/2018 Inside was really only the old coffee powder, nothing else, everything quite clean The brew assembly is quite accessible after disassembly, should be reachable with a cleaning brush.

Thx for the video, i have a problem with my krups EA89, when the coffee start, he go on the recuperation back and not on my cup. I already change the pump. Any idea ? Thx a lot

Thanks so much for posting this! You saved me $400 for a bit of soldering. :) Unfortunately though, i have a small fitting at the bottom in need of a hose, but don't see any unconnected, and water is coming out when I run a test rinse. Did you find a plumbing guide anywhere? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback :) If I remember correctly, there was one outlet at the bottom, which, when the machine is assembled correctly, releases the water in the front tray of the machine, which then needs to be emptied by the user as usual.

The Ea895n10 seems to be exact the same machine. I suppose the D is Deutschland and N is Nederland/Netherlands. In my situation the display seems broken.

That's the perfect tutorial how to disassemble this machine! Thanks much for it. Mine grinds the coffee but then it starts then maintenance (flush) cycle. After the cycle I can make one coffee successfully but later attempts are the same story. Do somebody have an idea what should I check?

@@pompeyt4351 Turned out the problem was related by clogged filter in water tank. Try to remove it if it helps. If not try to do some big cleaning/decalc.Generally it seems this kind of problems is related to water supply..

Ich würde gerne das Mahlwerk komplett freilegen und habe die obere Seite geöffnet, aber ich bekomme die trichterartige Plastikplatte (die die Bohnen ins Mahlwerk leitet) mitsamt dem Mahlwerk nicht raus. Gibt's da noch einen Trick?

Do you have any solution for milk not frothing? The foram is not foamy its like liquid ive cleaned the system regulary and i had this problem with all of ea89 machines (they where exchanged within warranty)?

Ein großartiges Video. Unsere ist gerade verraucht. Hast du evt. einen Tipp was kaputt sein könnte wenn es oben an den Schlitzen um den Tabletteneinwurf gequalmt hat und das Display sagt: Netzstecker ziehen? Vielen Dank, dann könnten wir vielleicht noch was retten…

Im Zweifelsfall, wenn eh nichts mehr zu retten ist, einfach mal aufschrauben und schauen ob man drinnen was sieht, wo der Qualm herkam?

@@ludwigbre Hallo, sorry ich noch mal, dank des Videos konnte ich alles auseinander bauen. Leider hab ich den Fehler noch nicht gefunden. Jetzt zeigt sie nicht mehr „ Netzstecker ziehen“ sondern „ Tropfschalen einsetzen“. Diese sind aber drin. Der Mikroschalter schaltet, das hab ich geprüft. Ein Kabel geht runter zum Thermoschalter. Kann dort das Problem liegen, obwohl ich einen Widerstand messen kann? Oder kann ich den nur bei angeschalteter Maschine messen? Für einen Tipp wäre ich sehr dankbar🙏

Meine Maschine hängt jetzt in der automatischen Wartung. Sie zeigt permanent an, Maschine wird gefüllt. Als wenn sie die Luft nicht raus bringt

Hallo, Weiß jemand, warum die Maschine nicht mehr mahlt? Habe nach dieser Anleitung auseinander gebaut, keine Fremdkörper im mahlwerk gefunden. Motor läuft ganz, brüht dann auch aber es mahlt nicht. Kommt nur heißes Wasser, keine Fehlermeldung. Nichts gefunden. Bitte um Hilfe.

Servus, ich hab n Riesen Problem… ich hab die Maschine Grund zerlegt und gereinigt… allerdings hab ich kein Bild und kein Ton… ganz ärgerliche Sache sowas… hab vorher nur DeLonghi Maschinen repariert und hab von den Maschinen von Krups keine pläne… würde mich freuen wenn wir Kontakt aufnehmen könnten und eventuell eine Lösung für das Problem finden könnten…😅

Hi, I bought a broken ea89 and the wires connecting to the boiler were off. I resoldered them but it appears the resistor is missing. Would I be able to solder a 50k ohm resistor between the connectors or do I need a NFT resistor? any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You really need a NTC Resistor, otherwise the temperature of the boiler will not be regulated and could get too hot.

@@gogojo70 For the model I show in the video, it is a 50kOhm (so 50000 Ohm). "KR503L0J" or " NTHS0805N01N5002JE" could be a replacement. But please be aware, if it is not the right type, your coffee maker can overheat and burn...

@@ludwigbre Hello again, I was able to get the NFT resistor and soldered it in. 50k ohm When I plugged the machine in, it still does not turn on however the boiler still gets really hot. The resistance of the boiler is 11 ohms, not sure if this is correct though. the motherboard looks ok, no issues, I am wondering if the display may be the issue? Idk, wish there was a service manual somewhere .

When i measure the resistance it says 144 Kilo ohms. Visually everything is okay. What can i do? The error message says ''pull the plug from the socket or reset''. Thanks in advance

Bonjour, je rencontre un problème 5 mois après la fin de la garantie, mon broyeur à l’allumage me demande de brancher / débrancher l’appareil ou utiliser l’application qui n’existe pas sur ce modèle elle fait cela plusieurs fois marche ensuite et recommence le lendemain. Quelqu’un a-t-il eu ce problème ? Que faut-il que je fasse? Merci

It happened to me yesterday... LCD started blinking and then went dead, but other buttons still had a backlight and I could prepare the coffee :) I am preparing myself to replace the display...

Just fixed it! I disconnected and connected again all connection tapes inside the display module and it helped.

Tnx a lot. With your help i could open it and find the problem. The connectors of the tempature sensors were the problem. I have resolderd them, but the machine still shutting off when its trying to heat...

Do you have a multimeter to check resistance between the cables?

@@ludwigbre no i havent. But what can it be if the resistance wont be as requiered? All connectors are fine, so i think sensor is broken? I have no spare parts of course

Hello, I have an issue with my own coffee machine, after plug power cable 230V, and turn on device i can make single or double coffee with even extra shot, but after cycle display ask to set container 600ml to rinse (clean) coffee system. After this, again display ask for 600ml container... and 3-4-6 times still asking for set container, but after disconnect device from power, and plug back 230V cable device is able to make just 1 coffee and again show request for 600ml container.. do you know how to solve such issue?

Thanks a lot for this. I am having a problem with mine, when it starts and i set date and hour it makes a click noise and screen displays "try reconecting or use an app" for few days it was working while i reconected it but now this doesnt help. I used your video to open my coffee maker but i have no idea what might be the problem. Can you tell me what were the signs of your coffee machine being broken? My cables in temperature sensor were visualy fine.

@@mariuscelbun i tried soldering the cables directly to temperature sensor. It was kinda working but it didnt boil my water. Today i'll try this again and give you an update on the situation.

After I remove all the parts and all the wires it’s making the same….only a error which tells me to use the app or application. I try to test all the fuses, everything looks fine, I have soldering the temperature sensor. Nothing….I will throw out 100%

Bjr comme la mienne, je l'ai toute démontée suivant vidéo, nettoyée ce que j'ai pu, mais ça n'a pas résolu mon problème ; j'ai même engendré un autre message d'erreur. Je l'ai emmené chez un réparateur Krups donné par la marque et on m'a changé des pièces défectueuses donc je n'aurai pas pû me dépanner toute seule réparation sous 10jours et j'ai déboursé 130€ mais moins cher que le forfait proposés par Krups

@@Stompaholik Witzigerweise bin ich gerade beim Auseinanderbauen meiner EA 89 gewesen. Bei mir lief über ein undichtes Drainageventil unentwegt Wasser aus. Einmal ausgebaut (absoluter Krampf) und sauber gemacht, schon war es wieder dicht. Leider scheint jetzt das Mahlwerk verstopft zu sein. Ich weigere mich aber noch strikt wegen Centartikeln eine Maschine wegzuwerfen.

@@kevinzenker4353 Bei meiner kam mehr Wasser, als alles andere. Nach dem entkalken nicht mal mehr Wasser. Nachdem ich so grandios gescheitert bin, habe ich sie meinem Nachbarn überlassen. Der Kapitalismus hat gesiegt.
