Thanks for this! I just upgraded RAM and SSD based on this and it worked flawlessly. Quick in and out. It now reboots from running back to running in sub 1 minute! Brought new life into this old geezer. I didn't measure earlier, but I would guess it was 10+ minutes...

Hi. I have this same laptop. I want to clean my keyboard. I opened the back and put in more RAM and a SSD, and I've also bought a caddy that replaces the optical drive with the old 1TB hard drive, so I now have C and D drives (I use D for backups). Do you know a procedure for cleaning the keyboard. Is it a case that I have to take the keytops off from above, or is there access to the keyboard below? Thank you in advance.

My laptop blinks 3 times after holding the powerbutton for 12 secons. By normal pressing it to on it shuts automaticly after 6 seconds.

I would like to clean my keyboard on this model of laptop. Did you find out how to do it? I'm thinking I might have to take all the keytops off. I don't recall seeing any way to access the keyboard from inside.
