That is one nice 850! It's already been said in the comments, but a level disk is important. And if yours can lift high enough level, don't be afraid to rig up a drag behind it..... a good railroad tie works wonders. My perfect seedbed involves a do-all, but that's a larger, rare implement outside of the southeastern states.

I've farmed my entire life. The adjustment in the disc for the first time over is good. Level it out and pull the cultipacker with it to start retaining moisture and creating a firm medium without sealing the ground off which prevents good drainage.

Pto tillers are the only way to go after plowing and I normally run backwards just so it doesn't beat the front end off my tractor

Not a hunter, so I have no idea why you'd have to plow/harrow a meadow for deer hunting. Can someone explain?

How did your 850 pull that size disc? I have a 950 2WD and was wondering if I could go up to a 7ft size.

Pulls just fine. I would go bigger and heavier myself if I had flatter terrain. The property sits on a mountain. The trails to my plots and steep, rough and narrow in many spots. Those conditions are the greatest limiting factor for me.

How much hp is that tractor and how much weight can u lift with it

David Travis the 850 is rated at 22 HP. The bucket with a 75 loader is rated at 700 without any ballast. Load the tire with fluid and add some weight on the rear and easily can lift 1200lbs. But i wouldn’t go higher than needed to drive safely with that kind of load.

Brian Lahmeyer thank you for advice. I am not an expert on tilling. This is mostly a hobby. I have played with adjustments in both directions. This is a lighter duty tractor with a lightly constructed 3 pt disc in dry summer conditions in rocky soil with a heavy grassy weed cover. Was trying to get as much depth as possible to bring up soil to surface.

Nothing about that tractor is light duty for what it is being used for. Like he said adjust the disc to sit level. Also to make it easier next time use some glysophate to kill off the grass. Will be much easier.
