Ah good, somebody else noticed. Big Lollopy was quite pronounced at 1800 revs, but Jugs, not so much. Don't know if it is a fault or, as you say, a characteristic.

Any white smoke that is not ordinary condensation is bad news. Before you start the car, open the bonnet and release the expansion tank cap. If it makes a sushing sound like a shaken bottle of fizzy drink, and the coolant suddenly appears in the bottom, it's probably the head gasket or a cracked head. Does the coolant level go down? A cracked head will pressurize the coolant system and blow the coolant out through the overflow. Any coolant in the oil? Usually another bad sign. Is this a recent thing or has it been happening a while? Best I can think of I'm afraid. Good Luck.

From what I have just read, turn the ignition on, wait for the pump to stop, turn the ignition on again, pump the throttle pedal 5 times. The pump should run for about two minutes. Turn off, turn back on and crank the engine with the pedal floored. It should catch and fire up. If not, repeat. Basically, you have to get the air out of the system and the pump will do that when it's running. I suggest changing the fuel filter then and popping some fuel treatment stuff in to get rid of the crap. Good luck!

The injector loom. when oil gets to the red plug, it takes ages to clear once the loom has been replaced.

You can disconnect the battery if you like. I never did. I was careful not to touch the terminals though. The ignition must be off. It is only the red plug that gets the oil in.

thanks for the reply friend. I'm from Belem-Amazonia-Brazil. i had a d2 td5 in 2013 and did this procedure. I was a little more daring and opened the control unit to clean. she was totally honeyed inside. then I sealed the edges with a 3m glue and it was good! that d2 I sold in 2015, but this month I'm going to get another one in São Paulo. I'm looking at your videos and remembering many things that I also fixed in mine. Congratulations on the tutorials. Health to you and your family.
