It was automatically playing on loop when you boot up Discord, so it was legitimately viewed 1.4 billion times but not by that many humans, this video is 17 seconds short so active discord users have probably given this video hundreds of views each since it's actively running in the background, the real victims where the discord users so it's not botted! This is the same way kids channels are able to get billions of views since the parents is letting their own children's watch it on repeat rather than taking care of them!

theres nothing to catch up...people have been doing this forever and ever, especially twitch streamers :) a very well known one is fextralife who links it to his wikis, tons of viewers with a dead chat. Another very popular one is capcom during certain tournaments (small ones barely anybody watches because it will stream during work hours on a Tuesday), they will be at 1k viewers and it shoots up to 30k with a dead chat.
