@@ShengFinkthat is probably true but I noticed that I get certain matchups way more in standard based on what deck I’m playing. Brawl is intentionally set up that way so it wouldn’t surprise me if other formats have a similar matchmaking set up

But it is random whether or not the regular match-ups are bad match-ups for whichever brew you're using (some of mine get almost mirror matches which can be entertaining and informative)

Honestly I don't even think this decks is suuuper powerful. I mean first of all, he lost to some other quite powerful decks (and there are other decks that are good against this match up, just think early life gain). Secondly, the deck is really dependent on not drawing its key card, which brings quite a bit of variance. And in case then in blue there could be bounce spells, the blue march and even counters if the cavern is not out. So yeah I'd say even if the deck is kind of bonkers, I wouldn't say it's definitively unbalanced.

I want to make a Simic Control deck (not in Standard nor in Arena), but every time I try, I always end up with Nissa, Gargaroth, and Krasis. I have some Control elements, but considering how the decks end up, they're always Ramp with some counters.

Scrollshift is pretty nice if you're looking for some stuff lower on the curve. If you hit it while going off, you just get free card draw, flicker your dino and keep on discovering. It's even in colors. I like scrollshift because if you really wanted to, you can run some prototype creatures who can be cast for cheap, then flickered into the big form. Nice plan B and early game, without ruining your discovery plan.

This deck is back! And it doesn't need that 5 mana enchantment to work with the OTK with granting the 1/0 and haste, and on top of that, the curve just got even easier to transition into the OTK with the new mythic two drop, I remember like idk a few months now when this was between cracked and a jank deck. It just crossed the line to new levels of gross lol this set man.

I have Lost count of how many combos this set has created. Fun Fact: Discover Is still a deck in Alchemy even after the Appraiser Nerf. Funnier Fact: that combo uses Dollmaker on Quintorious. Dollmaker makes an ARTIFACT token, which can then be copied with Duplication. Yeah, fun.

Great, so this is basically the existing Carnosaur Combo except instead of rolling RNG to see if you get lethal hasty carnosaurs with 8 clones in the deck, you only need to run 4 'clones' and its a deterministic kill every time (unless you somehow drew too many). Good lord, this deck was already carrying me in mythic and now its far better

To be fair, a six mana 1 card kill combo is great right, but for it to be broken it would need to be able to win into interaction, which this can't, it also has like liability issues such as drawing copies of the molten clone before turn 6 and not being able to push enough damage through blockers. I'm not saying that it's bad though, just that it's no tibalts trickery or t3 kill with geological appraiser.

The other version of this deck currently running around standard is way better. You get like 9 copies with haste, and they all stick around instead of dying at end of turn.

Not really sure how a deck that performed ok in early-access, folds to instant removal / counterspell / not drawing Carni / drawing Moltens breaks Standard. Maybe to for the Bo1-brained folk I guess?
