Beautiful place. When I was around 15 while on a cruise with my parents in the 90s I met a really nice young man from Hamilton. His name was Andrew Jamal Alexander Miller. We remained pen pals for a while but lost touch. I've searched for him over the years. I wonder how life tuned out for my friend.

There's some parts in Hamilton that I like and others not really. It reminds me a lot of Mid West cities like Cleveland. Once a thriving city with some interesting old buildings that's been left to decay.

We are a family in South Africa looking to move to Canada. How is the crime and living cost in Hamilton? Here in South Africa living conditions has worsened with unemployment, extreme high crime (home invasions, high-jackings, theft, you name it). We have load shedding (electricity cuts 1-3 times per day for 1-4 hours per session, water limitations due to municipalities owing billions to West rand water supplier. We looking to move for safety and a future for our boys😢
