Discover Igbo Land | The Anam People Of Anambra State || South East Nigeria

Anam, a community of eight towns on the Anam peninsula, rich in oil and gas reserve; with ivite-Anam on the eastern part of the peninsula and ezi-Anam on the western part of the peninsula. Anam is an ancient community with great cultural heritage and history. Anam is the largest and most populous community in the Omambala region. Situated across River Omambala, Anam is bounded on the West by River Niger, on the east by river Omambala, on the northeast by River Ezichi and Eziagulu Otu Aguleri in Anambra East LGA, and on land by Echeno, Ika and Omabo, both in Ibaji LGA of Kogi State, as well as Inoma and Nzam. Anam has cultural, economic and biological ties that extends beyond Anambra state, in places like Delta, Edo, Kogi, Enugu, Benue, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, plateau, states even as far as Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea, Niger, etc. The entire landmass of Anam is estimated to be in the region of 240 square kilometres.

Nice coverage. In addition to the ones you mentioned, the crops that are produced in Anam include vegetables such as pepper, fluted pumpkin (ugwu), okra, and garden egg. The igba ada festival is celebrated not only by Umuoba Anam, Umueze Anam also celebrates it. The Nzireani festival is celebrated by all Anam communities. Lastly, the community is just recovering from the devastating effects of the September-October flood. As seen from the footage, the green vegetation of the place has been damaged by the flood. If you want to capture the true beauty of the place m, May/June is the right time to do so as the vegetation will sprout back with the return of the rainy season.

Anam is beautiful but not the largest in Omabala region. Aguleri is the largest community in Omabala region and in turn the whole Anambra state. Wonderful video covering mostly Umueze Anam and Mmiata Anam

In population, Aguleri is but in landmass, Anam is way more larger than Aguleri... The Videos covers, Mmiata, Oroma Etiti and Umueze.

@@outravelandtour you haven't travel half of Aguleri. You need to go to Eziagulu otu Aguleri, Enugwu Otu Aguleri, Ivite otu and Igboezunu otu Aguleri communities that lies across the Omabala river. Hope you know Aguleri have boundary with Kogi and Enugu state?. Aguleri have boundary with Mmiata Anam, Umueze Anam, Iyiora Anam and Umuoba Abeagbu at Ezechi and Oda river. Aguleri have boundary with 5 different local government. Some parts of Aguleri falls in map of Anambra west it was just recent earlier this year that national boundaries commission returned them to Anambra East, well some part of Aguleri falls in Ayamelum map. In Enugu state, Uzouwani lga, Aguleri have boundary with Ogwurugu, Iggah, Ojjor, Asaba etc while In Kogi, Ibaji LGA Aguleri have boundary with, Echonwa, Odeke, Aniocha, Uchuchu, Obele and Omabo . In Ayamelum LGA Aguleri have boundary with Anaku, Omor, Igbakwu, Ifite ogwari and Umueje. In Oyi LGA Aguleri have boundary with Nteje while in Anambra East Aguleri have boundary with Umuleri, Umuoba Anam, Igbariam and Nando.
