We are so excited to finally reach Shikoku Island and stay in Matsuyama Japan for 1 day. Matsuyama city is the capital city of Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku Island. We visited the famouse Matsuyama castle, aka the best viewpoint in town and biked to the Dogo Onsen Honkan bathhouse, which was built in the Meiji Period. Please join us in exploring Matsuyama city for a day!

I love that whenever you go up a hill via some type of transport in Japan they call it a ropeway! Makes it easier to remember what you did! Japan is one of our favourite countries to travel in!

Love your video ! Can you tell me what was the hotel you staid ? And if it was worth it ?

We stayed at smile hotel. It was an average business hotel but for the price is was good. The location was located close to things so we were able to walk/bike to most places

I feel like everything is super busy during golden week. I would highly recommend avoiding travelling to japan during that time if possible

We're kind of going with it. Going to Fukuoka, which has a festival and I'm sure will be a zoo. Matsuyama will likely have some pretty bad lines, but around half of the trip will be after Golden Week, so I'm hopeful. Have all our reservations but not for the bikes.@@peter-and-sandy
