I can answer for myself easy. I spend many months in eaely 2023 looking for a new system since i was going all in this time with s new house. I am a 70´s kid and love the THX format (star wars/vhs). So i went with with a 7.1 M&K S150 system and ofc the Dominus sub. Gotta suppport Danish 💯 And omg, did that as you say take my HT to a hole new low. I have had bigger and other subs. But getting this and hearing/feeling new lows like never before. Now after almost 5 months of having this new system. I can tell you i am hooked and is currently waiting for one more sub. Anyway. You got a great channel going and i really like your content. Keep it coming.

@@hatoraidcowboy You are more than welcome. Well, i do think i got a pretty good setup. But man, i gotta long way to great even better sound. I haven´t gotten to room treatment yet since i am currently building around the house. And yes, two Dominus subs. While watching loads of vid´s last year i learned about the feature with more subs like with the Marantz new Cinema line. So i went with the Cinema 40 and i did go with Panasonic UB9000 as my main media player. I also have two Crown 2502 for my LCR´s. I tried to dial in my level for reference? Omg, i dont even need that much sound but no distortion what so ever. It sounded so clean and yet very powerful and that bass in certain scenes. I got a man cave too with a 7.1 setup and a Samsung 85Inch 4k TV and a Yamaha AVR. Just finished putting 4 layers of isolation on my roof. Already got carpet and the soud is so great. I got a little thing going on. And if everything goes well within the next ytear or so. I would be getting either a 7.2.4 Arendal or maby even a Perlisten setup? I am also looking at M&K´s S300 series with ofc two Subs. I dont know if i can get some JTR´s send to Denmark. But i would love to have my man cave 130/140 DB certified. Sorry for the long comment. But i got a lot on my mind when it comes to this old hobby of mine.

@@hatoraidcowboy Well we gotta make sure to enjoy life with whatever it may be. As many of you say. We will never be finished with this. There is always this litle something you can do or tweak. As for now. I think my thoughts is on Perlisten setup in the man cave. But i will have to wait to see what the future will bring.

Well I had Polk before, and a few Klipsch speakers….I hadnt heard a lot of other brands but I knew I wanted to go with a speaker brand that wasnt just another massive box company. I wanted something high end that I could call end game and not need to upgrade again. I decided to try Arendal and from top to bottom Arendal just sounded so much better than what I had before.

@@pinarellorider9023 They just filled out my room,I can hear more sounds from movies and demos that I hadn’t heard before.2 channel Music also sounds fantastic,great soundstage presence.I’m very pleased with the sound I’m getting from the Arendal thx monitors.

@@hatoraidcowboy yes bro, Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon. The 4K dropped a few months back. I picked it up. I also picked up Last Night in Soho in 4k. It's a horror movie so it is shot beautifully and there are a lot of jazz club scenes and singing in the movie. It has a lot of good audio in that movie.

@@hatoraidcowboy Thanks! If you crank your LS 12000 into high mode, is the fan too loud? According to my research, it is recommended you start the laser at 75% power and as the laser weakens over time, raise the power in 5% increments. This means that over 10 years, the laser is really pumping out 2000 lumens (consistently) and not at 2500 lumens+ as advertised over the whole life of the projector. Of course you can, but does that mean the projector has a half life of 5 years? Suffice to say, currently current JVC and Sony projectors, suffer from excessive fan noise at highest power, as you noted in your Sony x5000 review. So I am waiting for 2024 CEDIA to see if anything changes for JVC and Sony, BUT the Epson seems to be the solution looking me in the face! Just can’t get over the thought of pixel shifting - yet. 🥶🥳

@marvinabugov4579 The fan is actually quieter than the 5040 on high. You can still hear it but its not too bad especially if its far away from you.

@@hatoraidcowboy Again thanks. What about HDR though. Another vlogger like yourself swears by his LS but when it comes to HDR, he turns it OFF - in favour of more brightness. Any thoughts?

@marvinabugov4579 I keep the HDR on. That’s interesting that he turns it off, seems like that would throw off the color palette. My room is blacked out so I have no issues with brightness. Maybe he has a lot of ambient light in his room?

I havent heard the XT70’s personally but I believe Andrew Robinson reviewed those and raved about them. I used to have the Monitor 60’s for about 10 years so I think XT would probably get you much better performance

You’re welcome! 6 Atmos channels is soooo much more enveloping. I was running 6 when I first setup the RMC-1. (I was using the in-ceiling polks) I can tell you its much better than only 4. The only downside is there arent many movies mixed for 6 height channels. When you play a movie mixed at 7.1.4 on a 7.1.6 configuration is does not map right. The height channels get thrown off so just be aware.

@@hatoraidcowboy that’s a great heads up, thank you! So to avoid having the atmos throw off for mixes that include only 4 height channels, do you simply shut off the mid heights? Essentially, what’s the solution for avoiding the atmos from being off after 6 heights have been installed?

@usmankhalid990 Well I eventually just only utilized 4 height channels and use the other channels for sub inputs. It just wasnt worth it to keep a 6 channel configuration for a few movies in my library and have a wonky atmos experience for like 99% of my content.
