This video builds on that foundation, introducing the second key to improving skiing skills: navigating timed slalom runs.
Timed slalom runs in Alta Badia offer a unique opportunity to measure and refine your skiing technique, with each run providing its own set of challenges and lessons. We'll guide you on how to access and make the most of the five timed slalom runs in the resort, enhancing your skiing experience.
But there's more-beyond the gates and times, we stumbled upon some uncommon insights regarding slope safety. Ever considered how the color of your ski attire might blend into the surroundings, affecting visibility to others, especially in varied light conditions? Rientrato appena ieri dall'alta badia che ho trovato spettacolare. Ogni anno ci arrivavo con gli sci dai comprensori vicini, averne goduto appieno per una intera settimana mi ha dato la certezza che sia il top delle Dolomiti! Grazie ai tuoi video stupendi ho approfittato per copiare qualche giro😊

Leggo da molti commenti nei miei vari video che tanti scoprono le Dolomiti visitando prima i comprensori vicini ma poi il punto di arrivo finale, dove poi rimangono é proprio l'Alta Badia.

Un meraviglioso video degno della meravigliosa giornata. Non si sa se soffermarsi sulle evoluzioni degli "slalomisti" o suii panorami che ne fanno il favoloso contorno. Ma, si sa, questa è la Val Badia! Complimenti in particolare a Rafael.

Sono pienamente d'accordo con te per quel che riguarda i colori delle tute... per combinazione io ho un completo blu e nero come tuo figlio, ed un completo verde acido e azzurro come il tuo... come dici tu, e lo dimostri più avanti nel video, il nero si confonde con il bosco sullo sfondo e non "risaltano" gli sciatori. Ed i colori bene accesi, servono anche ad essere visti specialmente in giornate brutte in situazioni di poca visibilità (nebbia o mentre sta nevicando)... tante volte senti il "rumore" della sciata, ma non vedi chi ti sta attorno, e "cerchi" gli sciatori che sono dispersi nella nebbia... e naturalmente risaltano agli occhi quelli con colori più vistosi. Come sempre, ci proponi un bellissimo video. Ciaoooooo

Grazie Elena, nel tuo commento hai toccato un'ulteriore punto forse ancora piú importante: "Il rumore della sciata!" Questo é il primo motivo perché non uso il casco (soffoca i rumori) ed io voglio sentire chi c'è intorno. Questa cosa mi ha giá evitato un gran numero di situazioni pericolose. Ora purtroppo inizio a vedere persone con caschi con incorporati gli auricolari Bluetooth per ascoltare musica. Ecco che a questo punto lo scontro in pista é assicurato.

As always your videos are fun to watch. BTW, apparently the best colour on ski slopes is orange with red coming close. It looks like I will have to ditch my black ski jacket and dust off the red one 😀

But I see more and more skier with black suits that use the yellow road vests when skiing. Wise decision instead of going straight to buy a new suit.

I can’t wait to go to Val Gardena next week. It will my first time skiing in 4 years and my first time ever in the dolomites. I love watching your videos to get excited about coming to the dolomites. The mountains are beautiful there. It’s all I’ve been thinking about for the past 13 months.

It's all about visiting in the right periods of time. We usually have almost enough skiing when we reach Christmas because we shred everything as soon the lifts open with few people around. Same happens after mid of March where we close our skiing season always in a great way. All periods of time in between we like to ski more in the afternoons because most of the people are tired and look like zombies on the slopes 😂😂😂😂

Such beautiful mountains. I love black and white ski clothes, they look very cool. But I wear Red, because if the worst happens and I get stuck or lost on a mountain, I want to be seen

Arrivi ad un certo punto, dopo anni e anni di sci, che ti sei stufato delle piste, quindi fai porte, o freeride in neve fresca, quello non pericoloso....accurata scelta del pendio e condizioni neve.
