A little over a billion honestly feels pretty solid to me. Like on the one hand he's one of the strongest individuals alive and could certainly wreak a lot of havoc if he felt like it, but on the other hand he clearly has no interest in fucking with the WG and has literally no crew to back him up.

Imagine if , Perona was caught by blackbeard when she is finding gecko moria , and then Mihawk came to rescue and finally shows his full powa.

I think it’s pretty cool that Mihawk is pretty much out of the bounty game. He is a whole category of his own, after all.

People tend to forget, that bounty is much more than just raw power.

Mihawk is kinda the opposite of a D clan member He doesn't cause chaos, writes his own future (doesn't leave it up to fate), is one of the few people to actually perform his duties as a warlord of the sea, and he never smiles

i'd like to think the question mark means that they didn't even bother giving a bounty, like they thought "ok, you're not cashing this, so we're not even bothering crunching these numbers, but on the off chance you do, you can just ask for whatever"

I’d like to know what the exact deal with Mihawk is as a pirate. Has he ever had or been a part of a crew? The shichibukai are all pirates so clearly he is perceived as one but there are gaps there. We need proper mihawk backstory

It’s genius that Mihawk’s frozen bounty was never revealed. He is the only warlord who is the goal of a Starwhat, so by not revealing the bounty, we cannot compare Zoro’s current bounty to it, making Zoro’s goal seem harder.

I feel like Mihawk's bounty has to be purely based off individual power level, because he legit just does not care about the WG, finding the OP, or even starting a crew

Not so fun fun fact: Mihawk in the Japanese version of the anime actually has two voice actors, Takeshi Aono and Hirohiro Kakegawa, sadly, Aono died in early April of 2012. Aono also voiced Woop Slap.

My Mihawk bounty estimates - based on power: 4 billion - based on his actions: 1 Billion - wanted poster: 500 million I wonder what he did to get his bounty and become a Shichibukai? I like to think before he got older and mature he was challenging every swordsmen whether they were pirate or marine, cutting their ships in half if they didn’t accept his challenge.

He should've based Mihawk's bounty on his title "Strongest swordman in the world", keyword here being strongest. Look at the people who hold/held a title with "Strongest" in it, and THAT will give you a closer idea about Mihawk's bounty.

Honestly this was a really interesting video, and I'm surprised how well bounty scaling seems to work compared to power scaling. Would love to see this kind of video about other characters (Warlords are obvious choices, but other characters such as Daz Bones could be somewhat interesting too)

But Luffy's so-called "true bounty" is around 3 billion berries, so using the "undervalued" bounty the WG assigned him of 1.5 billion seems inconsistent?

This actually makes a lot of sense. I used to think he's at least 2 billion berries worth, but you sir, changed my mind!

Yeah I think his frozen bounty is likely to be in the 100million to 500 million zone as we see that with Ace and Weevil the WG seems to recruit warlords before they become big threats.

There's also Oda's love of puns to consider in this, given that there are different ways to say the same number in Japanese, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the right numbers that sort of sound out his name. So let's try and split his name into Japanese Syllables, Mi - Hau (there isn't an exact equivalent to the "aw" sound, the best I could do is "au") - Ku, so we're looking for numbers with Mi, Hau, Ku in them, or close to these. A quick search found 3 (Mi), 8 (Hachi), 9 (Ku) while an argument could be made for 2 (Fu) to force the "U" sound after "Ha". So given that, maybe his Bounty (frozen or new) could have 38(2)9 in it somewhere, like say 1.38(2)9 Billion for his new bounty or 3.8(2)9 Million for his frozen bounty. Both of which still fall within the vague ranges laid out in your video. Gotta say, I had a lot more fun thinking on this than I thought a 10 minute aside from my day would have given me. Thanks for getting me to use my brain meats in a fun diversion! Edit: Now that I think about "Hou" could work better than "Hau", but given that numbers are involved, it wouldn't work for this particular instance, there are no numbers starting with "Ho".

Love how you reason out his bounty. The number you landed on makes sense and although Oda probably can’t have his bounty THAT high, he could perhaps hand-wave it and say that the World Government didn’t see him as a true threat because he wasn’t interested in anything except his own singular strength. All I hope is that we do see more of Mihawk and we learn more of his history.

New suscriber here I'm reading One Piece (manga reader only) since the tome 4 in my country, who should be around tome 6 to 10 in japan, so more than 20 years (and really fell in love with it at the Nami's "help me" part in Arlong Park). But you chanel reminded me of so much things, so much mysteries, so much great moment, so much questions that for the first time in years, I'm eagerly awaiting for the next chapter, hoping to learn new things, as I did 15 years ago! And now the question : Is there any explaination about the sheer size of powerfull protagonist (be it recently, like Katakuri, Oden or Kaido, but also in more ancient entry, be it Whitebeard, the 3 admirals, even the CP9 or Crocodile). I know Oda said he find it to be cool, but still, most of the people in the One Piece universe are normal sized, and I think that when we saw said tall people in flasback, they were not as tall.... Did you make a video on it (if so, I don't saw it), do you think it is just a thing in the world of OP, or do you think there is more to it? Anyway, great work!

Mihawk seems like the type of guy to have been given the Warlord status for his level of skill as "The World's Great Swordsman" more so his level of threat to the World Government (even thou he's been proven to be a massive threat). So a low bounty makes sense because he doesn't seem to be the guy to destroy 3 marine bases for his friends

Mihawk is really hard to put a proper bounty on. The man is so powerful that he he just casually travels to where he wants without a care. The fact that neither big mom nor kaido have forced him to submit to their rule is something that needs to be taken into consideration. Also another thing is while he might not be directly going after the WG, he has no problem wiping them out when he needs to so he can be on his merry carefree way. That alone is extremely dangerous. I think putting him closer to 2 Billion just for the fact the guy is strong enough to do whatever the hell he wants and will take down anyone who gets in his way, including the WG makes sense. But we all know in pure power the man easily pushes 3 Billion in worth.
