Monsta X is literally the best group for me. Their vocals, dance, rap, visuals everything is just so good each and every comeback

I.M is underrated. His dance style is so laid back it looks like he's not doing the hard work, but when you see him in isolation, he's just casually killing the game. If there's a song lyric that sounds even moderately overtly sexy, I.M probably wrote it. He's credited for the lyrics of UR, which should come as a shock to mostly no one. He also wrote Rotate from the most recent album, with lyrics like, "switching positions, I like to rotate; let's change seats, what do you want this time? temperature is hot as you sweat; let's make it moist, I want you to drop that." :D Interesting thing I always pay attention to in dance practices is when Kihyun hits high or sustained notes. I'm often surprised to see he's doing it while not skimping on the choreography, which further emphasizes how stable his vocals are during performances. I think Shownu was having an off day for the taping of Beast Mode, since he can certainly summon that energy and dance with it, as we've seen in other performances. My eyes are so often drawn to him that I miss how amazing the other members are, including Jooheon, who is so much more of an all-arounder than he's given credit for. Between his killer raps in 392728 styles, writing, composing and arranging, being an awesome mentor to child singers for one of his songs, eating choreo for breakfast and having advancing vocals that you wouldn't know came from the main rapper? He's all the way win. I'd love to see more of Hyungwon dancing, because he's surprisingly good at it, but rarely recognized for it. And Minhyuk has found his way to being an emcee, which really seems to suit his personality. Glad you liked this next batch of their work! And yes, all the dance practices!

kihyun's vocals are no joke i don't know why starship hasn't released a solo album of kihyun -_- and people should stop sleeping on monsta x

Hyungwon always gets the duo parts as a lead dancer.... like with Minhyuk in Shoot Out and IM in Jealousy. I also think he shines a lot more in later albums, especially with losing a member since the line distribution put him in the center in places that Wonho would normally have been.

I mean i get it EDM isn’t your style but Shoot out and Follow are just so ICONIC

Thank you, I never tire of watching their videos and dance practices. I am not the biggest rap fan, but Joohoney and I.M are my bias and wrecker. Kihyun always kills it, his vocals are no joke. Hope you react to his “Little Bit of Love” cover at some point, as well as Honey’s “Smoky.”

Each member has such a unique dance style and it's not all about making it unison, it's cohesive but they are still given the opportunity to put their own swag into it. It makes their DP so entertaining to watch. I really love Monsta X.

I'm not sure if you have listened to these yet, but since you like more of their songs that have an R&B sound to them and you want to check out some of their b-sides, here is a list of the ones I think you would like. Perfect Girl, Magnetic, Night View, Last Carnival, Rotate, Secrets, Gasoline, Happy Without Me, Middle Of The Night, Need U, and Because of U. They don't all have an R&B feel per say, but they are different then the ones you have mostly reacted to. Perfect Girl I think has the most R&B feel to it. Some have more of a funk vibe, others remind me of song's I would have heard in the 90s, and Because of U almost gives me a Motown feel, like listening to the Jackson 5. Hopefully this was helpful and you like some of these!

JEALOUSY is propably one of my FAVOURITE songs and the choreo is absolutely in my top3 all kpop choreos ever. Im not even a huge monstax fan but they have some good songs! And they can REALLY dance, top tier!🙏

Hyungwon is actually the dance leader and shownu is the main dancer. :) both hyungwon and shownu are amazing dancers. I think hyungwon is number one I’m a little bias well because he is my ult bias lol. I am so loving these long monsta x videos you are coming out with. They make my day. :)

Recommending "Stuck" to your next list of reactions. It's an old song from 2016 but its one of Monsta X's most intense songs. The MV is mostly them dancing but you can also watch a dance practice for it. Either way the song is amazing

hyungwon is the lead dancer and shownu is the main. i would also say that generally hyungwon's style is pretty flowy and doesn't seem to match up with the normal mx style

I think the most laid-back dance practice I've seen from Shownu is "Stand Up". It's just a feel-good song and they are all just letting loose in the dance practice.

this is my nth time watching this reaction vid. I just love to see appreciation for MX's songs and choreos. I agree with you for the most part - if you could only see me nodding to almost every comment you'd made. haha You are not the only one who'd questioned Shownu's suitability as the centre for the ending of Beastmode. I'd like to share my opinion. Shownu's cleanness is impeccable for it. His presence in the centre pulled the neatness out of the entire routine and that's what i feel the ending choreo needed. I think it's his assuring disposition that works for me. i love the entire routine, but the ending for me was the best.

I love Monsta X and I love Shoot Out, but Follow and Fantasia have too much going on for me... it's just not my cup of tea. Sure it's amazing how they look and the difficulty of the choreography makes it iconic, but you have to listen to the song a LOT to break it down and not be overwhelmed by it.
