Side effects is the first ever psytrance kpop song. As expected, it got a lot of hate because it was "loud" and "different". In my opinion it's so good and one of my favorites today. The lyrics are also very meaningfull❤

"How is Double Knot not a title track?" - this is the question for pretty much every b-side of SKZ's discography. Like the recent 5-Star album was literally a full album of title tracks. For all the kpop groups I've followed over the years, SKZ's discography really has some of the most insane b-side music videos. And the fact that they will do 3-4 (sometimes 5) b-side m/vs for a single comeback is wild. I'm lucky to get a performance video for a b-side for most of my other groups. Miroh is probably the best Skz song for concerts and festivals bc everyone dances and sings along and screams 'STRAY KIDS WOO', they also perform it alot, in their recent tours, music bank paris, lollapalooza etc the dance is inspired by the Haka from New Zealand, it was Chan's idea to include it since he loves and respects their culture so much he also wrote a song called Zone which includes lyrics in Māori (New Zealand's language)

And you’re right about the choreo in Miroh, Chan said it was based on the Māori Haka

I’m technically Army (when it comes to K-pop) and it takes a lot for me to fully enjoy another K-pop act outside of a couple of singles/random songs. But SKZ punched me in the face a year ago, grabbed my collar, shook me, and yelled “hey, stop sleeping on us and listen to all of our songs, we’re incredible” and I just nodded and said “😧 okay”. Now I’m an Army-Stay lol ❤️‍🔥💜❤️‍🔥 SKZ are scratching a much needed itch and continue to both give me chills, impress beyond expectation, produce bangers, *and* make me laugh/tear up behind the scenes. It’s nice to add another consistent and diverse group that matches my taste to my shelf.

their bsides are sooooo amazing (and many of them have unveils and/or mvs) the fan favourite are definitely Domino (unveil), Easy (mv), Silent Cry, Red Lights (mv), Taste (unveil), Charmer, and Venom (mv) Red Lights is actually their 7th most streamed song despite only 2 members being in it (Chan and Hyunjin), it also has an 8 member stage performance that made all of Stayville literally die when we watched it

For the lore, I recommend you to watch the video called "Stray Kids : Prequel (Highlight Reel)". It is less than 5 minutes and it summarizes the story behind the albums till Levanter. You can watch it at the beginning of your part 3 video if you like.

Their concerts are soo good they are so funny too and they interact a lot with the fans. Something that is really outstanding in this group is the relationship with the fans… we love them so much and they return us that 100 times

Their B sides are so good even Stray Kids admitted sometimes they have a hard time choosing the title song. In some instances they pulled songs and put them in later albums, and they are still releasing songs they produced years ago. They have a lot of MVs for B sides, but they all deserve an MV. I recommend you listen to the albums in their entirety, they are no skip. Really enjoying your reactions, you pick up on a lot of things other reactors don’t, you are a born Stay. 😄

I want to talk about stray kids love for STAY, as a multi fan stanning 5+ groups + being a regular to 10+ groups , Straykids definitely have the deepest and most beautiful bond with their fandom, right most groups have real love for their fans, but skz take the love to another level; They are sooo many songs made for stay at least one in every album, like ALOT, even one of the songs being called #lovestay Some skz members + stayville would probably not be alive if it wasn’t for this (chan said in one of his lives that he probably wouldn’t be on earth if it wasn’t for skz and stay) They literally have a week every year there they post every day and end it with a bday live and song for stay on our birthday If you watch their lives you will realise that the members love helping out stay, the fans ask questions about their mental health and they answer Then skz didn’t have their personal ig, they had their own hashtags, and hyunjin’s hashtag was #lovestay (he is also called stays biggest fan and lovestay boy) Lee know that have a very hard time to express his emotions, in the last concert talked about his emotions and nearly cried(this shows his very deep trust for stay ((he haven’t cried on cam since the survival show years ago) Changbin also last concert said ‘I don’t have a home, stay is my home’ Then it’s the truly small things that straykids don’t have to do but still does, like hyunjin going live to inform stay that he broke a tooth or that he brought the plushies he wanted, chan’s movie nights on bubble (app where you can text the fans for a amount of money), straykids in general checking in on bubble to ask how we are doing and giving mental health tips You can just see if you watch how much SKZ love to spoil STAY, with skz records and extra stuff nearly dropping every day (jyp asked if they wanted to take a pause but skz said no) Then hyunjin was on hiatus for his scandal he walked up to a mountain and stared at a lamp imagining stay Straykids makes songs about mental health to make the ‘straykids’ out in the world not feel alone, bcz once they where also like that Chan used to do chans room every week checking up with stay until he could’t bcz a scandal between toxic fans and IVE You’ll always hear for them how straykids and stayville was the best thing happening for them There was this one concert or show I don't know what to call it, where people got hurt because they were pushing and shoving at one of stray kids concerts. I remember a tweet abt a stay who was travelling to skz in korea for a concert and started crying a stay came up to her and hugged her calming her down, stay’s love for skz is also very deep unexplainable deep, straykids gets alot of hate and are struggling alot ( TW most members being insecure about their looks, chan overworking himself , felix struggling with eating, hyunjin feeling scared of not being accepted, lee know being called mean, jeongin getting forgotten, han with extreme social anxiety, changbin hated for being fat, seungmin hating his smile and skz in general getting so much hate atm) stays are so good at comforting them and trying the hardest to make them feel loved Felix said he wanted stay to see them as a long distance friend Some things skz have said to stay (mostly from bubble); - ‘I don’t know if it’s because I’m so happy, but if you're going through something difficult I want you to find a path to make you happy. Or sometimes on Hyunjin's counseling vlives, he'll express how he finds it sweet that Stays reply to each other's concerns and try to help each other. I think even the fact that some members go on vlive very frequently shows that they love their fans. They aren't being forced to do these vlives, if they don't want to they won't, but they do because they want to talk with STAY. ( side not they don’t love stay personally more like stayville is a place there they and us find comfort in, so plz don’t become a toxic delulu fan ;_;) bruh I wrote so much

I went to one of the concerts during the maniac tour and it was the best experience ever. The music sounds even more epic live. All the songs they performed really changed the way I hear them after watching it live. Like the memories are priceless!

What actually insane is there are English versions to their songs. As two members are native English speakers. As an IStay I appreciate and love stray kids for this. Like yeah my favorite songs of theirs are obviously in Korean but having songs that I don’t have to watch twice to get the lyrics is a great break. PS my fav are Charmer, maniac, awkward silence, boxer and tortoise and the hare.

A lot of people don't like when Kpop artists sing in English, however, i don't mind it. Stray Kids have an English version of Levanter and Double Knot if you're curious! I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but Chan and Felix are both Australian so i don't know of that's why they have a handful of songs in English, or even why they have a lot of English in their songs. (They're all good at English though) On another note: November 10th we have a new album which means maybe tour soon after. It's called "Rock Star" and the trailer and Megaverse unveil are amazing

Levanter is my favourite Skz title track and one of my favourite songs ever the music video and all of their performances from the time are by far the most powerful, despite the calmer song, since they were so emotional and (as Hyunjin said) very spiteful and angry yet also sad it was their first song as 8 members and although we don't know why Woojin left, we know that Stray Kids don't like being reminded of him and that they were hurt by his decision to leave (as hinted by Chan) they had to re record the entire Cle Levanter album and the mv which ig also frustrated them they all look so much more mature between Double Knot and Levanter, especially Chan who suddenly became the oldest member of the group

Quick fun fact, Double Knot was originally a 3racha predebut song! They made a few 3racha songs into ot8 ones and added them as hidden tracks for the older albums! I believe Mixtape 1-4 were hidden tracks originally then Double Knot was a pre-release single to Levanter.

You are just so adorable! lol it's so fun to see your excitement over all these songs and I am happy to tell you they only get better! It's kinda crazy how they have ZERO bad songs and I don't say that lightly because there are some groups I stan that there may be a couple songs I'm not super into, but with SKZ it's literally none. There is most definitely lore within the Stray Kids universe and it's confusing as hell lmao. But i'm impressed you got it right that there's dopplegangers! The keys are a big thing especially in the Cle series of albums because Cle means Key in French. And it's not only their MVs that have lore in them but also their album trailers too, so at some point if you want to know more about their storyline, you should watch those too! Double Knot was actually a pre-release for Levanter, and they promoted it for a couple of weeks. With the mess that went on right after (Woojin's departure) it ended up getting more attention than the actual title track.

Stray Kids live is unbelievable...seen them in concert three times and at KCON LA. I will ALWAYS make sure I can get to a concert if they come to the US. They have played so many of these songs live and they are insane. And you are right...Miroh is epic in person.

Levanter is their fisrt tittle track as 8, and with all the callbacks to hellavator you can kind of say its their second (and true for who they are now) debut. I love it a lot, they proved they can do slower and vocal themed songs just as well!!

I'm sure others have mentioned the main lore so I'll recommend checking out the mini/side storyline in some of Stray Kids other MVs, they are Mixtape: On Track B Me (there is only an unveil track) Mixtape: Oh The View The very basic summary is them in school as a group of friends who are in the film club together and make short movies before a falling out happens which leads to much longing and them all missing their friendship. I mention this storyline because Stray Kids released a Skzflix teaser last week - what Skzflix is is still kind of a mystery but it appears to be about the Skz film club - and it drops tomorrow and one of the new MVs from their new album this month will also be connected to this storyline

I saw them twice last year in concert and they were INCREDIBLE! Summer after Oddinary and then in the Sping after Maxident. They MAYBE performed 2 chill songs but the rest of the concert was hype and non stop. You wont regret seeing them live 😊

oh yes, SKZ b-sides are top tier and most of the time title track material! regarding the storyline, they do have it, they actually even have several. regarding the main one it is mostly prominent and cohesive in their early works (the ones you have reacted to), but to fully understand it, you would have to watch album trailers and sometimes title track teasers, as well as some b-side MVs. long story short: they escape from a place where they were "manufactured" to be perfect and the same as everyone else to look for who they want to be and to build their own safe space ("district 9") for themselves and the fans. on this way you see them (and/or their clones) rising through different worlds and societies, trying out different paths until they find the answer in "levanter". funny enough, this MV journey is reflected in the lyrics of the songs and in their overall sound, because they were searching for their own colours in music trying out different music sounds in their first years. I could explain you more or less the lore from "disctrict 9" to "back door" (although I must say, it is still very confusing for me), but later on it gets too confusing, although it is obviously present. I know a youtube channel "bookish theories" talking about their lore, I read some theories on tweeter, but in general I am not aware of any videos explaining the whole SKZ universe from A to Z, but I might be wrong. they also have one or several storylines in their japanese MVs, I guess it is kind of a parallel story to the Korean one. and there are several b-sides with their own separate storyline where SKZ play school boys making their own movie as a school project - and how their lives developed after the school. this one is a completely independent story line, but looks like we will get an additional content related to it on the 3rd of Nov - it is called SKZFLIX. an official teaser was released today about it.

I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY CONCERT EXPERIENCE I went to both Newark dates for the maniac tour and it was THE BEST concert experience I've ever had like the concert itself was insane they're constantly trying to outdo themselves (Han keeps making his Hellevator and District 9 high notes higher just to show off I love him thats my boy) but also its much more fun and interactive than most concerts I've been to! And it legit changed the way I listen to some songs like I think everyone who went gets chills halfway through the song Question now lmao Also there genuinely is nothing else like getting to the venue like 5 hours early to hang out with other Stay like its a full festival I got so many freebies I almost couldn't close my bag and everyone was so sweet it was like immediately having thousands of new friends

Okay lore is basically all of the main tracks up to gods menu, so from district 9 to levanter. They basically escape from a facility and then they are running from someone presumably like the family owners or government. They run away and live on the streets until they reach Miroh. In Miroh they overthrow the government but realise that the world is not worth saving and so use the key to Cle to activate the hellevator and go to yellow wood (side effects) then it gets so confusing. In yellowwood you get like two parallel storylines, skz who got on the bus and skz who didn’t and stayed behind. Then in levanter it’s then deciding to leave yellowwood and return to the real world. The hellevator is destroyed and you know it’s the real world because there is only one moon. In yellow wood there is always two moons. I would recommend watching all the MV trailers, they are so good and give you more lore on top of the MVs. Also if you do pls watch oddinary trailer, I swear it doesn’t disappoint (ps it will give you nightmares). Sorry it’s so long but I hope this helps 😀

Nobody cracked the lore yet bc we are dumb, even tho they uploaded a highlight reel explaining a bit. But basically... there are two worlds, the skz world and the city that appears on hellevator upside down. They were stray kids in hellevator but they got trapped in this facility that tried to tame them on district 9 from where they escaped, after that they wandered a lot, found a little shelter on I am you but then they decided they couldn't be really free unless they destroyed the dystopian city (MIROH), they failed badly, were thrown out on side effects but could finally infiltrate on God's menu and back door. Since noeasy they've been fighting monsters, became maniacs themselves and idk where the f we are now but we're still going on lmao it gets really confusing at some point so I don't know if we are following the same story or everything ended on back door. BUT the guy on the teaser for this comeback is the same guy who drove the bus on side effects so I don't know lmaooo it's a journey honestly. Kinda hard to understand now.

Of course they get a lot of help and support from div1 at jyp, they also have friends with whom they work a lot in their songs. But we can see they have control and are listen too. We have had the opportunity to see some projects in which the company has a plan, but if the kids are not comfortable or disagree, they listen to them and adjust accordingly. As fans, we care so much for their well-being for example, when they work so much and seem to not rest enough, but chan has said before to trust them cause ultimately they are doing what they want to do.

Straykids do have a lore but it’s so complicated… they don’t give us hints, they just let us loose brain cells…. I choose to be happy and let the smart stays figure it out. Straykids are big anime and Marvel fans so the lore they have is kinda crazy… multiverse and all that 😭😭😭 I’ll recommend venom, time out and redlights 😊

Side Effects, when I first heard it, also gave me headaches - also due to excessive headbanging :) And I loved it because the chorus is "My head hurts" so it felt very fitting. Then I read somewhere that Psy Trance (which is I guess what the genre of the song is - I'm not a music buff) actually helps reduce headaches. So I stopped myself headbanging to it and amazingly, it really does help. It's SO hard to stop headbanging though. I should just listen to it once and headbang, get the headache; then listen to it again to get rid of the headache. For the lore, there is a LOT. I can't even keep up on it. The album trailers usually give a lot of info about what's happening for the lore and which direction its going. For Side Effects - they had just left Miroh, the city and though they tried to make changes to it, they found that nothing changed. So they left and went to Yellow Wood - the road not taken. Road Not Taken is also the title of the intro for this album. They got to Yellow Wood by going into an elevator and using a key (Clé means key in French and this is part of the Clé album series). Once in Yellow Wood they had to make a choice (the whole series is about choices), they could take the easy road (riding on the bus), or taking the hard road (or no road really at all) and going their own way. And they do show a schism - one set of Stray Kids took the easy road, and another set took the hard road. So yea, there are two sets of Stray Kids in the MV. You'll see two sets of them a lot and lots of glitches. At one point, I.N (the guy whose voice you like) was left behind and a different I.N went with the group. It's very confusing lol In Levanter, at the end, they chose to come back to the real world and leave Yellow Wood. So the moons combined and the field was back to looking like regular colors instead of the purple field. And as an aside - Double Knot was released as a single before Cle: Levanter was released. That's why it has the two moons still in it lore-wise. It's also the last MV that has Woojin. He left the group before Levanter was released so they had to push back the release of it to re-record and re-film some things. Astronaut is a song on that album that also has an MV and they just edited it so that you don't see Woojin, but some Stay have found that you can still see him in parts if you slow it down enough. I believe Levanter is a full re-shoot. edited to add: I went to a Maniac concert in Atlanta, GA at the beginning of this year. It was so amazing. They did play some of these older songs and OMG they are so awesome. Hellevator and Miroh are fan favorites. Miroh - fun fact, if your phone gets water in it, play Miroh on it and it will force the water out. There are youtube videos showing that lol And yes, that was Changbin singing when you asked if that was him singing in Levanter. Man has a seriously good voice. at 22:27, that was still Changbin rapping. They changed the video to Felix, but it was still Changbin going off :D I think you need to check out the dance practices :D

Saw SKZ twice in Seattle & then for their Maniac tour finale in LA - best shows of my life, & I’ve been to 100’s of live shows (yes, I’m old for a stay) 😂

I think they performed most of their title tracks the last time I went. But them live is a whole experience. I saw them three times!!! Loved each time I went I even took my mom because she say how hyped their songs were. She absolutely loved it. She loved the energy stays brought too. She felt all the love that we stays have.

Stray Kids lore is so so confusing but so amazing and i kind of understand it- ish?? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mrl0i8WIvcuoiXU.html -this is a short video but explains it all up until 2020 era kzfaq.info/sun/PLVkUwhgmIV-JMxBEiArYMIzkdTQ5R96xp&si=sIcK2UMXCebuvs22 -playlist with videos covering the storyline of recent mvs here is my version of it but people have their different ideas, i really only understand from Maxident (2022) to now (i included some spoilers from recent lore and newer mvs btw) there are two versions of the members: the originals and clones who live in two different universes the versions of I.N switched (i'm not actually sure when) and one version (again i'm not sure which one) wants to return to his universe but Chan won't let him (you can see this at 16:37) the clones are trying to get to the original universe and destroy it and the originals are trying to go back in time to I Am era to make sure the clones don't cause an incursion of the worlds and join in trying to catch the clones (its very inspired from Marvel since they're all obsessed with the MCU haha) in lots of recent mvs (Circus, Case 143 and a few others) both versions are in the same place at the same time and the originals are trying to catch the clones (idk why or how) in S-Class, Felix somehow gets lost in the multiverse in the 5 Star trailer the clones enter the original universe properly which leads to the Social Path mv where the clones do cause an incursion and destroy the original world in Social Path we also see I.N finally getting pay back on Chan for trapping him in the wrong universe in the Rock Star trailer you can see the originals looking at a clock, im guessing they're trying to figure out how to go back in time and the song Megaverse (its unreleased so there's no mv yet) so far sounds like it is all from the clone's pov after destroying the og universe since they talk about how 'the multiverse ain't ready for our universe' and how they've 'already won in this megaverse' this kind of hints that the clones now want to take over the whole multiverse now here is where it gets even more confusing as Skz lore merges with the lore of another JYPE 4th gen group Nmixx in their lore there is a world called Mixxtopia which is under threat from a rogue force that is trying to destroy the universe, aka the Skz clones to make it even more confusing, they also have another completely separate lore called the Mixtape Trilogy it's more of a kdrama storyline then lore though it is made up of Mixtape: On Track, B Me, and Mixtape: Oh there are then two other mvs that act as the two separate endings depending on what happens after Oh: Ex (bad ending) and The View (good ending) i understand the Mixtape Trilogy much more than the actual Skz lore haha kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbmUjJBmvLzDYIU.html -parallels between each one they are releasing a mini movie soon called Skzflix which from the trailer seems to be like a mix of both Mixtape lore and Skz lore

There is definitely Skz Lore starting right from pre debut Hellevator and running through heaps of subsequent releases. Google the list of songs in lore order and follow the connections for the overall narrative.

to be fair double knot was originally released as a single like 2 weeks before the albums release so it isn't only a bside (although the album release date got pushed back because of woojin left the group so it basically became a single in it's own right)

the Haka, a traditional genre of Māori dance Bang Chan was intrigued by it, so he incorporated it into their video.

The lore is about clones and diff universes but honestly there are so many theories, there are smart stays on twt who analyse it and try to make sense out of everything

I'm not sure if you're interested in reacting to compilations, but since you mentioned you're a Once, it might be cute to watch a video of Stray Kids and Twice moments. Since they're in the same company, they have lots of collaborative moments like dance challenges and stuff, but they're also pretty friendly beyond that. Bang Chan trained with a lot of the Twice girls and is good friends with them, particularly Sana. If you'd rather stick to reacting to music, the first things that come to mind are the performance video of Nayeon's "No Problem," which features Felix, and Han covering "Alcohol-Free" on Lee Mujin's Service. Really enjoyed your reaction, and I'm impressed with how quickly you're picking up the names!
