Hello Matt 😊, my name is Jay. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! I live in the U.S. in Montana and I used to fly in IMAC when I lived in Minnesota. IMAC actually stands for: International Miniature Aerobatic Club. I flew in both Basic and Sportsman Classes. My honest opinion with IMAC is that it is a whole lot of fun!! There is a lot of traveling that you might need to do and constantly working on your skills needed for whichever class you choose to fly in. The traveling and having to work on your flying and on the plane to make it to be able to fly more precisely, turned it from a lot of fun into what felt like a job/traveling job and that’s where it started to become not as fun anymore. Now I just fly for myself, but I still fly the aresti to keep my proficiency at the level that I had when I left IMAC. I do stay in touch with those people that I have met and received help from while in the IMAC Club. Good Luck and Most Importantly… HAVE AS MUCH FUN and MEET AS MANY OTHERS THAT LOVE THIS HOBBY AS MUCH AS YOU DO!!! When you do go to the competitions, make sure that you ask those that are in the higher classes any questions that you may have. It will help you understand everything about how it all works. It will help immensely in the long run.

Hey Jay. Thank you for the comment and sharing your experience of IMAC. A big part of this hobby for me is socialising and meeting other people like yourself. I’m looking forward to meeting more IMAC flyers as I progress with this new challenge. Unfortunately there are only three comps in the UK this year and the weather so far has been really bad. I’m hoping I can get out soon to “try” some of the sequences I’ve just learnt! I will go along to one of the competitions regardless, even if I’m not ready to compete! Thanks for watching.

I always do at least 1 whole flught where any maneuvers I do one way I do them opposite like a mirror just to work on my less smooth side of things....whether snaps or rifle rolls or rolling harriers or blenders and tumbles....not really iMac but always practice going both ways when I fly.....just recently got a giant scale gasser I jumped from a 52 inch plane to a 88 inch edge w 55cc on it so now I'm gonna start working on iMac sequences to stay nice and tight and precise

That’s a great tip Tory, doing manoeuvres in both directions. It’s pretty common for people just to go one way, like only roll to the right etc. you need to force yourself to go the opposite way even if it feels uncomfortable. Do it enough and it will feel fine! Thanks for your comment.

I’ve been thinking about trying to fly some of these routines but I don’t want to compete just fly them to get better at nice controlled flight vs sport or 3d

That’s also my plan as there are only three IMAC competitions in the UK this year. However since filming this the weather has been pretty bad so I’ve only flown a few times. Hopefully get some practice in soon.
