Did you know that COFFEE originated in Yemen in the 15th Century? I just traveled all the way to the Yemen border in the South Western corner of Saudi Arabia to seek out the ORIGINAL and BEST coffee on this planet... and the incredible people and culture that I discovered along the way left me speechless.
Making this video really took me back to my time in Yemen from a few years ago. I had a blast in that country and I hope to return soon.
How many of you guys are coffee lovers out there? Comment below!

I lived in Kuwait for 11 years and Qatar 1 year. In Kuwait I worked over 5 years for Kuwaiti companies where I was the only American. I used to go to the old market and buy green coffee beans from Yemen and also from Ethiopia. I roasted them outside because it is a smoky messy process. But the result was amazing. You were not drinking ground beans in your video. Those were the husks. Does Faisal export to the US? I would love to find a source for good green coffee beans.

Perhaps you will be surprised by the presence of coffee in Saudi Arabia, in fact, its cultivation is part of our culture and is distributed in the mountains of southwestern Saudi Arabia.. Among the advantages is the Arab moringa oil in Al-Ula, which is the best benefit of Arakan oil. The dates in Qassim are among the finest types of dates in the world, and it is the capital of dates Taif rose oil is considered one of the most expensive and finest essential oils in the world Najran is famous for cultivating oranges, al-Baha cultivating pomegranate, and al-Jawf cultivating olives, which rivals the quality of olive oil in Palestine. Tabuk, with its fruit farms, and each region of Saudi Arabia has its own distinctive features

Southwest Saudi Arabia is Yemen, and historically coffee was never exported from those areas, only thru mocha port in yemen. So when he said yemen. He means that this is Yemeni coffee. Theirs no such thing as Saudi coffee. Only saudi dates. They are the best tho.

I love how Drew knew that Jazan is originally Yemeni - and that coffee is originally from Yemen. He probably heard Saudis try to sell him that coffee is originally from Saudi Arabia --- but ignores them and ends up making this amazing vlog referring to Jazan as "the Yemeni border" and giving a quick backstory about the origins of coffee coming from Yemen. Thank you Drew. We (in Yemen) don't have the media on our side. So we thank you deeply for showing the truth about coffee and Jazan (all being Yemeni). God bless!

Jazan is not originally Yemeni and It was an independent kingdom
@deen-g
@deen-g 2 жыл бұрын
@@ix8518 You're actually wrong. Before the Ottomans came, Asir - Najran - Jaizan where territories belonging to Yemen for thousands of years. The last ruling Yemeni kingdom that controlled Asir - Najran - and Jaizan was the Zaydi Mutawakkilite Kingdom from the 16th century to the 20th century. Then the Ottomans came and conquered the Arabs and divided the lands. The Ottomans made Asir the Velayet of Yemen during the early 1900s. Then, Sheikh Muhammad al-Idrissi later declared himself the Emir of Asir in 1908. So from 1909 to 1930 or about 10 to 21 years, the Idrissi Emirate was somewhat independent. But quickly came to an end in 1930. Ibn Saud invaded Najran and then the Emir Idrissi of Jizan fled to Yemen to join Imam Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din, the King of Yemen against Ibn Saud the Nejdi. After a war between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, they signed the Treaty of Taif. So, to answer your ridiculous comment, NO, ASIR wasn't a breakaway country. It was territory belonging to Yemen before Islam and after Islam. The border of Yemen goes far near Mekkah. All ancient maps from the Himyarite, Islamic conquests, Ayubid, Rasulid, Tahirid, Mutawakklite, EVEN the Ottoman archival maps show Yemen's border NEAR Mekkah. And every single land and city south of Mekkah WAS YEMEN. You don't need me to tell you this. READ man -- google search everything I said. I will be here if you need to prove me wrong. So good luck doing so.
