Hey Everyone, So we are now starting our Alaska cruise videos, so these are going to include content from the Discovery Princess Ship as well as lots of Videos from Alaska.
So First up we have Embarkation day from Vancouver. Now let's just say this was very Chaotic and stressful as there was 3 ships leaving from Canada place and it was VERY disorganised.
This is no reflection on Princess though, this is just issues with the port being so busy.
What will we think when we first step on board the Discovery Princess? 🤔. Well watch and see 😁

Glad you are enjoying Vancouver and Discovery Princess. I was on her last May when she did her first sailing out of Vancouver. Duval was the cruise director on that sailing as well., you will have a great time with him. Enjoy

I took the Discovery Princess last year out of Seattle and the embarkation was very smooth. Loved the ship, Alaska and the medallion.

Lovely video. I have heard that it is always difficult embarking from Vancouver. We’ll be leaving from Los Angeles for a round-trip cruise to Mexico in October on Discovery. It’s usually quick and easy from that port. I love your enthusiasm and all the information you give us. Thanks.

oooh it's all new. First time Princess cruisers used to get a blue medallion, now it looks like it's gone white. We were on Sky Princess with the same layout. It was a lovely ship. We loved the Marketplace Buffet and the International Cafe, who knew you'd want a cake or sandwich at 03:00am in the morning. ...lol. Taking our second cruise on Sky Princess again in Norway and Finland in Oct 24. Really looking forward to seeing some nice Fjords. Happy Cruising x

I knew you would love this ship, we did. Food was excellent, best pizza and plenty of bars and seating areas. Seattle was so easy to sail away from, glad you enjoyed. Hope you found alaska magical.

Our embarkation at Vancouver was similar and there was only 2 ships there. Took over 2 hours 😫 Have sailed from Seattle many times with 2 ships in port and it is so much easier.

Well Really lovely to see what embarkation day is like. As you mentioned there was 3 ships in. Never too much bread Stacey...!! And also pizza for seconds and why not !! I know it can be so frustrating when things don't go to.plan. could hear you kev, grumbling love your facial expressions. They say it all. I've just come back from anthem of the seas from Southampton. Will let you know more about that another time. Please keep up the fab info. You really do make a difference and help so many. Wow as if you had to carry your cases down the stairs or queue who knows how long for the lifts. But the food looks like it makes up for that 😊

On our last Princess cruise we managed to book the Sanctuary for 3 sea days but shortly afterwards it was booked out. Problem was there were dozens of no shows and you only get charged if you turn up. This just stops others from using it. Princess need to put a surcharge on for no shows unless you cancel before your slot starts. It’s so selfish and unfair to those that don’t get an early boarding time

Oh no that is so annoying, we didn't realise that they didn't charge you unless you turned up. Like you said there should be some sort of charge to stop that happening

Second time watching and it was as fun as the first, Stacey and Kev. (was on the big screen first day and didn't turn on the laptop.) Loved the fact you went to the buffet and then almost immediately to the Pizza Parlor! 🤣🤣The food looked great, but we would have needed a break! All this before the cabin. Of course we judged Kev! Please don't block us.😯😯 Beautiful ship and great info. Thanks for bringing us along.

my wife and i just came back from the princess alaskan cruise a couple weeks ago. it was so amazing. we love Duvall the cruise director too.

The Majestic is nearly identical to this ship, but the sanctuary are is called the Hollywood conservatory and it is fully enclosed and heated…it was free on our cruise, great place for glacier day, but get up there early to claim a spot.

We are from the UK and we're on the same sailing. Also on Marina deck not far from your cabin. The embarkation was abysmal. But the cruise was fantastic 😊

Hmm, our embarkation on Discovery Princess was also really chaotic in Seattle last year - looks like you had similar problems a year later… Great to see you guys on this ship!

Vancouver does the best they can with e ships in port. It’s better for lines to move than be stagnant. Yes I live here and we sailed on Discovery last September and loved it.

@@debbywoolbright7953I got through security fairly easily because I was using a cane at the time. Talk to the port officials and mention that you need help. There are many port workers there that can help you. The Princess onshore staff helped me too.

I sailed on the Nuiew Amsterdam in Nov and you are definitely on the better ship haha. As for fun sailaways, you need to sail on a sailing from Florida. The party starts WAY before the ship sails haha. Great video!!!

Hi, we are looking at an Alaska cruise for the future so will be watching the future video's. I might be being greedy here but as we find you entertaining and sometimes funny, have you thought of doing one last part on your final video with some 'blooper out takes' so to speak. I know it is more work so understand if not possible. (me just being greedy). Keep up the good work.

We stayed in the pan Pacific hotel at cruise terminal and it was very nice however down below with only 2 ships it was utter chaos took us 5 hours to board

Wow so not just us then if you think the same after 16 cruises. So unorganised and Chaotic. They need a better system in place for sure. Nobody should have to carry all them suitcases down the stairs Like that, either that or wait in that ridiculous lines for the lifts 🤣good job it was a lovely ship lol

Great vid good heads up about watch straps re madallion,,, how did u go on with gratuities? Can yo cancel them and just pay people you want , cabin steward , instead of a daily rate

Hi Mick we prepaid our gratuities before we went but have read on other forums about people taking their tips off at the end of the cruise and tipping individually. Would maybe double check with princess though ad you know what forums can be like 😁
