This is perhaps the best and most entertaining battle on RW, undoubtably the funniest! Antweight is the way to go as it's cheaper, bots are easier to build, bots are easy to carry about to matches. I love the bots being so light, they go flying like Pants did!

Gotta second the comments about the Antweights! Superb fun. Now they've scrapped the arena and house robots (so I heard), this may be the only way to get some sort of Robot Wars back on telly! Superb - tabletop warfare almost! Hey, that's a thought - you reckon the local Games Workshop would let me use their battleground diorama for an Antweight melee? They'd need to clear the Space Marines off first...oh there's a thought, an Antweight robot made from a Space Marine tank?! Worth a try :)

@TheCaaze Find an airplane or professional RC hobby shop, have them educate you on relays, servos, speed controllers, and radio crystals and have them explain to you what controller you'll need based on how many channels your robot will require.

I wanted a tiny antweight tornado to compete because it is one of my favorite robots

@TheCaaze they use professional RC car controllers, just like the full size robots. 150 dollars to 400 on average with some costing more based on capabilities.

no that's FLEAweight. Antweight is 16 oz, one pound. the largest antweight league was called SOZBOTS for this reason! The S stood for SIXTEEN.

They cost around 150 pounds or 100 dollars to make, and you need to find some beginner events, just search on youtube to find some testers and get in contact with them

@TheMokamola antweight - you're restricted to one pound. With the larger robots you have a lot more leeway room for components.

i can rerember, i had 8 little robots, about 1kg each, and they had spikes and wedges, one had an axe and one had a flipper, but they didnt work since it didnt have electronics lol

one time i went to a robot expo (or some thing like that) and met razer and ian lewis pulled razzler out of a bag and started playing with it on the table.... i asked if i could put my hand on the table and he put razzlers claw on my finger! it didnt hurt and he asked me to lift my finger up from the table and razzler was almost like.... stuck to my finger yeah i loved that day i have some photos of razer a wall paper of razer and warhead and an autograph from ian lewis in 2003 or 2004
