Sehr schöne Diskus mit besonders schöner Körperform! Sind die Tefe‘ Wildfänge ? Vor 40 Jahren hat mein Vater noch mit Flächentürkis von Pfarrer Schulten gezüchtet. Gibt es diese Genetik noch oder ist vieles doch asiatisch?

Die Tiefe sind keine Wildfänge. Ich habe sie aus meiner Leopardlinie herausgezüchtet. Soviel ich weiß existiert die Flächentürkislinie von Pfarrer Schulten nicht mehr. Aber da kann man sich natürlich nicht sicher sein. Es gab Ende der 70er Jahre nur ganz wenige, die Flächentürkis hatten. Das war Dr. Schmidt-Focke, bei dem ich etwa 1980 ein sehr schönes Tier gesehen habe. Gleichzeitig Pfarrer Schulten und ein oder zwei weitere Züchter aus der Gegend. Dann kamen Anfang der 80er Jahre Siegfried Homann und Jack Wattley mit solchen Fischen. Aber alle haben untereinander getauscht und die heutigen flächig blauen Fische dürften schon irgendwie auf die damaligen, ersten Fische zurück gehen. Sie wurden dann in verschiedene "Linien" aufgespalten (in Asien tauchten darauf die blue Diamond auf). Wenn man heute verschiedene flächig blaue Linien sieht, haben sie vermutlich alle den selben Ursprung (in Deutschland der 70er Jahre). Aber die "reine" Pfarrer Schulten Linie wird es vermutlich nicht mehr geben.

So viel Fische in so wenig Wasser. Wird hier mit reinem Sauerstoff gearbeitet?

Ich habe zwei Sauerstoffkonzentratoren. Aber sie sind nicht im Gebrauch, da bei diesem Besatz eine starke Belüftung ausreicht um immer mindestens 95% Sättigung zu erreichen. Wenn ich 2-3 mal so viele Fische im Becken hätte wie mein großer Kollege, dann müsste ich mit reinem Sauerstoff arbeiten.
