This was uploaded 2 days ago so. They increased the speed of the game, they added the ability to turn off Geo animations, bonus bar fills up way faster, The statistician power was increased. You can now cancel actions without going back to base panel, You can also change your character movement without canceling, etc

I loved the galactic demons and trents

can't say i'm all too happy about many of the changes, mainly the replacing of units such as the galaxy demon which was known for its high def, and other changes like the treant becoming a cute springy eryngi this remake really took away a lot of the original charm of disgaea 1 which was about these creepy vile monsters living in the netherworld and they made it all cutesy like in their later incarnations, and they didn't even entirely remake the game from the ground up based on the sfx and animations this really makes me reconsider buying it thanks for this comprehensive comparison

The change to the Item World no longer being able to have geo effects on the portals is all the change I needed to warrant me buying Disgaea 1 for the 4th time. Thank you for the info!

I've got over 4,000 hours logged on PS2 and I just picked up Complete for PS5 about a week ago. It WILL. NOT. STOP. CRASHING. Always in the Item World.

Never played a Disgaea game before, but for me this looks really good compared to the others, I'm really enjoying this game on PS4 now.

I don't mind the sprite change at all. Those hd sprite and UI look soooooo damn good 😎. Can't wait to play it!

Out of the many monster changes in Disgaea 1 Complete, replacing the beast class with the dragon zombies is the most infuriating one. Bone dragons don't even look like manticores, they are fucking lions in mythology! Come on, NIS!

I had forgotten a lot of the disgaea 1 more unique character designs. I like the female thief more but all the other changes ehhh.... Galatic demons look so much cooler and intimidating.

I kinda hate how they just reused assets.. Like, Disegea 1 is good, but I kinda prefer the original just because of that reason.

Sigh...if they added disgaea d2 on this, the word "complete" is more meaningful. Still going to buy it though, for the sake of nostalgia and collection!

I am soooooooo glad they updated the retro sprites to HD BUT kept the story sprites as original. somehow i feel this is the best of both words.

I hadn't realised disgaea 1 complete was this difficult in the desire factor. I'm honestly sad that the older models were changed. Before seeing this I was replaying D5 and was wishing some of the older characters came back in a new game

Eh, I prefer the Shadow model.

The sprite charges to the monsters are enough to make me choose the PC version over this version. Its just really weird and inconsistent since they did make new models for some classes but just replaced others with something completely different.

I do not care if there are not too many changes. Disgaea is good as it is really. I replayed the 1 Complete version twice until now. :D

What really pissed me off was that there is no sprite of Laharl walking straight up or down. That is unforgivable and triggers my autism to levels that shouldn't even be possible

You'd think they would've had a implemented the feature that appeared in D4 (so far anyway, D5 and DD2 probably didn't have this) where you could play it with 2d sprites or Isometric sprites

Intensely disappointing... but it IS still the Disgaea 1 story with all the D1 characters, so I can't be too bothered.

I loved it back in 2003 but I regret buying the complete version. Too many QOL features are missing and it's barely playable, especially after playing D5. About the only reason to play it is to replay the hilarious story mode.

I bought this for the sake of being a fan. I couldn't get into it because I played too much of Disgaea 5 and this game was sooooo slow in comparison and there was no way to change it. Grinding was a nightmare. Outside of the story this game was insanely barebones. They should have added more updates considering this was the definitive version of the game.

I am way late to the show, but I just got disgaea 1 from steam, coz I saw it on a bundle and wanted to play all the disgaea games. My game however is buggy it has problems with the shadows where like it cover 1/5 of the screen in it and it looks like a broken screen xD, still playable so is not so bad but I don't have the new sprites or weapons skin, do I need to do something or there not available on pc[steam] Port?

I wish they fixed the item world more. Maps are to big. They finally got it nice and streamlined on Disgaea 3 and 4

They just copy and paste a game which has already too much uninteresting remakes. At least do Disgaea 2 Complete, this one is way more interesting and more cameo.
