Davesknd Laharl is one of the strongest characters ever made in the history of ever. He is a good character with great everything to be honest. Blame Disgaea 1, I suppose.

Because in disgaea 1 he had amazing development, and was truly charismatic there, then in d2 onwards he is just kinda of wanting to be the main char again, in dd2 he comes back at least to being as great as he was, while showing that he has changed according to the good ending of d1, and also because his laugh is iconic to the series along with him using meteors as chariots

This is one of the main reasons I feel Disgaea 2 was a weak entry in the series. They kinda shit all over the characters of the first game. Laharl and Etna were kinda jerks, but they had redeeming qualities. in this game they're just completely unlikeable assholes. The fuck is with that!?
