You won't actually get any of the bad endings simply by having your characters killed on regular maps/stages, you have to either loose to a Boss on a specific map/stage, or in the case of the "Etna's Magic Overload" ending, meet the requirements I mentioned earlier. Don't worry about having your characters killed, it will likely happen a lot... In fact, you'll actually earn rewards in the Netherworld Hospital based on the number of times you've revived your characters.

That's why I decided to call it the "normal" ending in the title and the "normal/canon" ending in the video description. I can change the title and video description to say "good" ending though, if you think it'd be a more appropriate description of the ending... Actually, in the Endings section of the Data Shop this ending is called the "True Ending" so maybe I should change this video's title from "Normal Ending" to "True Ending"...

You get this ending after defeating Xenolith's final form in the last stage of Episode 10: "The Eternal Netherworld". If you loose to his final form you'll get the "Sicily's Sacrifice" (bad ending) instead. Also, if you've reduced Etna's Likeability with Laharl, Flonne and Sicily, then after defeating Xenolith's first form you'll be presented with the option to "continue observing Etna", and if you choose to do so you'll get the "Etna's Magic Overload" (bad ending).

So I got a question for the next disgaea game what do you think the next main character should use for a weapon? Laharl used swords, Adell used fists, Mao well he should have been a Mage obviously since he's a mad scientist, and Valvatorez I felt should use spears. Maybe a gun user 4 main character?

Ya but your missing the point Laharl most of what I just said is a fact inthe anime u clearly used sword type weapons only. Adell used and Talked about using his fist. Mao first evility was a joke.when you compare it to his ice type spells that can basically run over enimies. And hell while Valvatorez used swords and spears as his forte I just can't see him using swords as a basics for weapon choice since his special skills look exactly like Spear skills

Normal Ending. good endling ?

Well, of all the endings I guess it's the "best" possible ending, so you could call it the "good" ending, but it's not exactly a perfect ending though, since things don't go so well for Xenolith and Etna... Although, in the epilogue after the credits Etna does wake up and it's Implied that she's found Xenolith... So things do turn out OK in the end, but because of what happened to Xenolith and Etna it just didn't feel right to call it a "good" ending...

I agree- the humor was as good as ever, but Nippon Ichi has gotten used to developing characters over a single game. The art of keeping a character consistent between games is lost on them, let alone building on an established character.

Etna kinda stole the show here at the end didn't she? Still, I'm sure she's grateful to Laharl for everything he did to reunite her with Xenolith. This story wasn't really as good as the installments of the other games in my opinion, but it gave some really good character development for everyone else in the game. I just hope we get to see more of the newer characters sometime in the future. I think the game needs to do more with Sicily and Xenolith. Laharl could use some more too.

Actually, I should point out that I'm just as skilled with fist type weapons as I am with swords... In fact, in the original Disgaea: HoD my Weapon Aptitude was "A" for: Fists, Swords, Spears, Bows, and Axes, although I was only "B" for Staves and "C" for Guns...
