Odd Laharl will sacrifice his own being for Flonne but not Etna. Proof that Flonne must mean a lot to him.

Obviously it means they're supposed to get married. "tie the knot" if you will.

I overlooked one of my units when casting a spell once. He died, but I figured it wasn't important and continued with the game. I beat the game. RIP Laharl. Gonna watch this then move on to Disgaea 2 in stead of NG+. At least now I can finally rotate my monitor back to normal.

Thanks for uploading this Digaea: Hour of Darkness is one of my favorite games and i got the "Bad" ending because i used a decoy strategy... Basiclly i only used Laharl, Etna, Flonne and Kurtis and used the other 6-7 characters i brought onto the map as decoys...and i can't really be bothered to play through again because when your characters are already level 2500 it takes all the fun out of it.

I had 0 murders but still got the bad ending, so thanks.

@OniMalco You have to keep your "Friendly killed count" to 0, if u killed a party member in a fight then you'll get the bad ending

@AuskaNeumaki Throwing prinnies doesn't count as an ally kill, even if it's Kurtis, so there's that. They only count as an ally kill if an ally gets caught in the explosion, at which point you lost 2 charcters for the price of one and can't get the good ending anymore. So I'd reccomend just losing to midboss or conquering Earth, because the music in both is great. Unless you want the bad endings, in that case you better get killing your characters (they give XP according to the internet).

The bad ending where Flonne killed Laharl after he killed Hoggmeiser(And yes it does happen this way acording to the published game book and not the other way around) shows that Mid-boss and the sarph's plan is at least true

the very first ally you kill is permenant until you start the next round of the game. So if you have killed an ally and want that ending you need to load a save before the fight you killed an ally or start the game over.

SPOILER despite that laharl cried at this scene, he still destroys flonne's garden in Disgaea D2.

What's funny about the good and bad endings is that normally it'd be simple to get the good ending, but being new to the game you forget that Prinnys explode after being thrown, which will easily kill other prinnys. You play for a few more hours before finding out that now you are locked to the bad ending. So cool, you get forced a bad ending for such a tiny mistake. It's easy enough to run through the whole game again, but I'd rather not spend another 10 hours sitting through more mindless fights. I'll just look it up, which is what I did. So yeah, Prinnys are a trap.

This is for Zedus, the clues help out quite a bit. He leaves with Laharl's mother, he is concerned for Laharl being a great overlord, instead of trying to snatch it like the other demons. Also in the anime, there are clues that show evidence of MidBoss being Laharl's father in another body, i didnt belive it either.

I'm SO glad that this is the "real" ending to Disgaea. I just finished watching the anime yesterday and the ending was bitter-sweet and kinda disapointing. DX I'm so glad Laharl didn't turn into a Prinny and Flonne lived! Yay! :D

@OniMalco in fact... you can kill a party member... i killed twice Kurtis accidentaly throwing him :B and got the good ending... so i looked in a Faq an the requirements to get this ending it's not to kill 30 party members And yes... you can get the good ending in new game +

I am actually not sure about prinny bombs. Go to the dark records keeper in Laharls castle, Its a male healer in the corner south-west of the hospital. Check your 'Dark record' or whatever it is and check your current ally kills. Then the next stage throw a random prinny and blow him up, finish the stage and see if your ally kill went up.

Insulting people is a way of showing love(For Laharl)...Laharl is like that.

It's flat out stated in the manga and you would have to be blind not to pick up on it in both the anime, I belive it's not quite as clear in the game. What I heard was that the king really died from wounds he got fighting and sealing Baal and was revived by the sarph but he was much weaker then he had been, and togather they came up with the plan to get Flonne and Laharl togeather.

I never killed more than 50 allies, and i stil get the ending with laharl sacrificing himself, or is that the only ending for the psp?

Did you get any ally kills or defeat an item god? Getting 1 ally kill gets you the normal ending, and killing item god gives you very bad ending.

You can tell if he is dead or alive if there is a pool of blood around seraph. If there is one he is dead, in the good ending here since there is no blood pool, he is just knocked out.

no, he's alive and the reincarnation of the "late" king. he was referring to himself he was talking about when he mentioned someone else important setting up the whole situation between Flonne and Laharl.
