I agree with everything you said about Blizzard but "Ashes" are already pushing monetization without even having a game. They are charging $400 for the Alpha test and their cosmetic shop is being pushed constantly so I don't see the promise TBH

I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s so grotesque I’m actually taken aback. I know what you’re feeling. I was using TBC launch this Summer to get through some tumultuous times. Never would have guessed I would feel deflated by it. Maybe Ashes of Creation can be a little spark for some people. I’ll be watching.

Man, this video makes me kinda sad. I remember Classic launch like it was yesterday. I was so hyped about the game and watched your guides regularly. It was always nice to see other people who are so much invested into the game. Such a good time overall, even with all the drama I experienced while playing the game. Now it feels like an end of an era. Classic felt like a rush, it was over way too fast for my taste. I totally agree to your opinion. I planned to play TBC casually, but now my 4 level 60 chars will most likely just retire. I just can't (and don't want to) keep up with Blizzards content phases for their remakes (I stopped raiding right before AQ). It's a joke how they are rushing TBC classic in comparison to Shadowlands where one patch takes over half a year. The only reason for me to get a new subscription would be fresh Classic servers with smart changes, like removed spell batching, no world buff meta, etc. But demanding 35$ for clone services is just a sign for me that Blizz wants to kill Classic slowly. I don't see any perspective for Classic fans except private servers. So thank you for all your work that you put into your videos! Greetings from Germany!

Started playing WoW 2 months ago and I already want Ashes of Creation to be released so I can escape this sinking ship.

Small correction: the cosmetic stuff, except for the new mount, were originally in TBC. They were just only accessible via the WoW tcg loot cards.

I'm seriously not participating in this, I was mostly convinced that it's time to bring my girlfriend and some friends into the game, but not anymore. Blizzard's gone for good, no game in their inventory can interest me no longer, I regret defending the name when the stuff with Hong Kong happened. I'll just finish Shadowlands until I get on whatever game merits my attention.

My main focus is wow, and I have no interest in Ashes of Creation. So I I'd like to say thank you for the good wow videos you've provided in the past, and wish you good luck ahead! :-)

I really enjoyed the pvp off the fp. I do agree with your main point in the video. I will be paying the bare minimum to play tbc and will not be making any copies or worrying about cosmetics.

I've been feeling the same thing with AoC being the new MMO to look forward to! Solid team, private company, community-facing, lots of updates, etc. I will be watching your streams. there should be no cash shop at all. i can live with the short pre-patch and the absurdly high fees to stay in classic, but the break in immersion between the original content of the game and the items sold in the cash shop is the same jarring incongruence that trivialized retail wow and made the content feel pointless. even if fees to copy/transfer are high, players will get over it and continue with the game because this is minutia that happens outside of it.. But they WILL NOT play this game if you trivialize their accomplishments, their gear, their grind, or break their immersion. I guess Blizzard never asked themselves why classic was ever successful or why players were leaving retail? how dumb can they be to make the same mistake twice..

I think it’s an overhyped expac, too. Not really excited either. Just like everything, the people with MBAs are making most of the decisions. Lots of people in my classic guild stated that they’ll buy the boost.

Mega servers, layering, spell batching, AV queue changes... there were already changes to the game, it just opened the door for more and I cant say I am really surprised. As for the money, none of its required. Its all too expensive to be sure but, cant really say I blame them after a lot of the players have shown they are very willing to dump money on gold for a very old game. Bots everywhere kinda show them that.

This is why I wanted NO changes, because I knew Blizzard would take the opportunity to fuck us. So, with it being $35 per character, Blizzard expects me to pay $210 to copy my characters to the eternal servers that will most likely die out due to this insane price barrier? nah, no thanks. And on top of that, they will expect us to pay another $35 per character to keep our characters on the eternal TBC servers, and again for the eternal Wrath servers. I'm done. I quit.

One take Bellular had on Blizzard is that Activision had enough of their incompetence and are taking over technical aspects of Blizzard game. Activision subsidiary studio is making D2 remaster, other one went to do Overwatch 2 (and why also Kaplan left) so I would not be surprised if Ion would leave with the end of the expansion or something alike. Retail will get 9.1 after 9 MONTHS since release! And BfA/SL features are just so poorly done and ignored player feedback so if actual good studios take over then we may see something actually change.

Agree with all you said. Sadly, blizzard has away better version of classic wow and classic tbc than private servers. And a lot of people kept playing those versions for over 10+ years bcs thay are really good. I also feel so disappointed in Blizzard and the only way to do that as customers is to stop consuming his products. I decided to stop playing retail for good and just keep coming to the classic server here and there. And try other mmo's, hope someone soon takes their crown

Its ironic that the expansion they delayed the most to polish correctly is getting shoved out the door with literally broken encounters, tone deaf random changes, and milk machine transactions on top of it. 3 subs to 1 here as well, and looking for another outlet. I think they're underestimating just how willing people who quit the game once are to do it again.

I dont like char boosts or care about items that arent earned through gameplay but was considering cloning one or two chars to have a taste of classic for a bit more. Unpopular opinion: I really don't care if they add a cash shop. I don't spend money on video game cosmetics, but for those that do, go wild.

To be honest, how could the staff at Blizzard be shocked at people wanting to play Classic WoW. The sheer number of private servers alone should have told them they had a massive demand for it. I personally think it was all summed up by their arrogance in the phrase: "You think you do, but you don't." Everyone was screaming at them for Classic WoW, they thought they knew better than what their PAYING customers were asking for and dragged their feet doing it. The only way they could be genuinely shocked by the success of Classic in any way, shape or form, is because they were never listening to their own fanbase to begin with.

Its pretty sad what blizzard has become. I would love to play my druid in TBC classic, but I refuse to get nickel and dimed by passionless 'yes' men at Activision. We all can see the writing on the wall that this is just the start of them adding wow tokens and other things to the classic game to make more money. When I heard the news about all the greedy things they are doing to get every last dollar out of WoW TBC fans, I ended up resubscribing for 6 months to EVE online as I would rather my money go to developers who actually care about catering to their niche of consumers.

Surprised you're not keen for arena considering how much pvp I see on your channel. But maybe you just prefer the chaotic/random style of PvP classic has. Thought you might want to be competitive and pvp in an actual level-playing field; at least much more so than classic.

For one I understand about the no changes topic. It is what you said, but they added servers without phasing, and having 8-13k players in a single server. TBC has way more replayability compared to classic. idk how you can compare the two at all. For one pvp is bigger, and more counter play compared to classic. Raids are 100% better, and dungeons even in non heroic are a lot better compared to classic, or wrath.

Tbc has flies. GG open world activities, pvp fun, zone occupation, flymaster ganks, etc. We will see some pvp in Haala and some tired people lazy afking in BG's. And the pinnacle of CLASS/SETUP BALANCE in Arena. Not that exciting, if you ask me.

well its prepatch day and they have reset the server up time 6 times from the standard down time to 10 pdt that is 1 am est, so servers went down on 05/18/2021 and wont be back up till at least 05/19/2021 thats a new level of pathetic even for the talentless hacks working for blizzard. warcraft refunded all over again how they can fail to rerelease a 12 year old game is mind bottling and all the little "balance" changes are going to kill this game they can not balance shadowlands a patch they created from the ground up now they want to change a game they clearly do not understand. smells like they are so jaded people wanna play a classic game over there new trashlands they are going to "balance" the game till its empty servers also. maybe they should stop hring people based on there race and sex and start hring people that can do the job.

Long story short, if you enjoy the old expansion go ahead play them, but don't buy anything ever again from blizzard. That a random newbie is running around in town and have his 100% mount speed for free doesnt matter for your fun in game. Just ignore it and play the game.
