Years ago my best friend returned from a trip out of state, and brought back a bottle of the Ranch dressing soda. About... 6 or 7 of us got together and all tried it at the count of 3. It is RANCID. Some of my friends handled it okay, I spat it out in the kitchen sink screaming to the gods, and one friend ended up puking and was in the bathroom for 20 mins sick. It was somehow the best and worst memory all of us have experienced together lol

2:14 - The 'other sugar' is high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), it is very frequently used as a cheaper substitute for real sugar in the USA. I believe there is some big historical story about how the corn farming industry lobbied successfully for it to be used instead of real sugar. They have an exhibit at the Epcot center in Disney Land where you can try all kinds of sodas from all over the world from Russian sodas, Australian sodas, Japanese sodas, etc. and I couldn't believe just how different people's tastes are in different parts of the country. Most of those sodas were horrible to me, there were a few that were all right, but it shows that a lot of your tastes are acquired and developed over what you eat throughout your life.

Not sure why this showed up in my recommended 2 years later but still enjoyed it. Two that I would suggest that are really good are Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Coco Fizz a chocolate soda that tastes like a carbonated Tootsie Roll, and Flying Cauldron Butterscotch which is the sweetest tasting soda I have ever had. The Coco Fizz is unusual and isn't liked by everyone but the Butterscotch is highly recommended.
