I know it sounds super cheesy…but this actually brought a tear to my eye. Everyone’s army is a reflection of themself…but William brings it to a whole new level. Not just an inspiration, but an actual call to action. William, there’s a chaos army I’m starting today, and it’s thanks to you. Nowadays with all the social media flooding us with insane amounts of people showcasing their skills and trying to perfom at such high levels, one tends to forget the true meaning of art. It's not about skill or being the best, art is about reaching other's hearts, and what you did here it's the most sincere and true form of art I've seen in years. @@talex3844 I'm really happy to hear that talex. In my experience the best way to get value out of warhammer is to keep it as playful as you can. Building, painting, playing it should all be as unconstrained, fun, and expressive as you can muster. There is likely going to be an army that just kind of calls to you, run with that one. Don't get caught up in what unit has powerful rules, because the rules change all the time. I wish you the best. Oh yeah, also take it slow. Everybody I know has at least one pile of grey plastic Orks in a drawer, because they bought way to much at once.

What a great video, great people and a truly incredible conversion army, the other army is very nice too, really sharp colors, but there's something really unique and inspiring and kinda magical about the nurgle army. As someone who also went through a couple years of debilitating medical problems (thankfully, mine only required a couple surgeries, and got me good as new), I'm glad Will was able to 1) get better and 2) find catharsis in his art. His Nurgle army looks gnarly. I love it. (And the Loyalists don't look half bad either.)

Very cool army and dude, 2 ideas for this are those big eye ball toys that jiggle around by themselves you can get at the dollar store, and also would have been amazing to have real mealworms crawling all over the army for this showcase if anyone has a reptile that could eat them afterwards!

A couple more ideas, if there is a way to leave a "slime trail" behind one of your bigger pieces, not actual slime but something you can sprinkle behind where you've been on the terrain. Also these models would look good growing mold, like the white cobwebby mold with droplets of moisture.

The fact he used *actual* meal worms making this army, aside from being on brand for Nurgle, most things you can see on the internet you can get the general gist of it, but this all has tactile value, I simultaneously want, and don't want, to see and touch this in-person which of course feeds back into the temptations of Chaos in Warhammer. As for his Spacemarine army, I love the confidence this guy shows in proudly giving flipping the finger to what's canon and slipping in some female spacemarines, he's cutting to the core of the craft in that it's supposed to be *fun* to plan and experiment making something like this and adding his family is so genuinely beautiful to see.

Wow... What a truly amazing story. William took a terrible pain and made it into something spectacular. He literally used the blessing of Grandpapa Nurgle to make, in my humble opinion, the single most grotesque Blighted Army I have ever seen. That is perhaps the most *METAL* thing I've ever heard of! What a beast! The strength of character he possesses is beyond words. GamesWorkshop should definitely contact William and do a small article or something. Perhaps a 1-off Unclean-One that has been signed by the team? Maybe have William's story displayed in an ornate fashion at the official G.W. Headquarters? This story, and others like it *NEEDS* to be heard in the hobby... This kind of story could really inspire someone who needs it most! 11/10

Thanks Kevin. It was a heck of a thing talking about it on camera. You can see my hands shaking in the shots. Normally I keep this stuff to myself, but when they invited me on I figured I'd let it all out. Nick was really rad as well. He was a great interviewer and they edited out bits where I may have made more of an ass of myself. Thank you for watching.

Gently brushing some UV resin over the worm basing might make it much more durable. and might make them look pretty juicy

I'm torn between awesome and disgusting, guess that is the Nurgle way. Something that would be fun (at least for me) would be when showing off such heavily customized models to briefly go over them and show what the GW original model looks like.
