Seriously I’m in the verge of my tears here. It’s really absolute emotional. What a great Disney reunion to celebrate 100 years of wonder 100 years have led to this. Somebody did Disney a freaking Oscars, this goes for everyone at Disney animation studios. What a short film. I’m gonna watch it every day on Disney+ until Disney wish comes out. This will be the best moment I ever live in this group photo will never disappear for next 100 years it means a lot, for me and you all around the world! I’ve been a Disney fan for a long time I’ve been raised by Disney and now it’s my turn to raise my voice as long day at work alongside with everyone at Disney the best place I ever had! Not only is Jafar's voice actor still around but he just got done playing Jafar in the Aladdin musical on Broadway for like 7 years. That's probably Gilbert Gottfried, the OG as Iago. Recorded prior to his passing.

The ending was emotional, to see 100 years worth of characters that have brought so many years of joy to generation after generation in one short was incredible. Making this was taking a huge leap, especially with how Disney fans are and they pulled it off. Here is to 100 years Walt Disney and may your name and legacy continue for many more decades to come.

I just about bawled like a baby when Genie showed up. He’s my favorite Disney character ever. Also, the little lost boy in the yellow cat costume that flies by is actually _another_ Robin Williams character. He’s from the old attraction called Back to Neverland, which starred Robin and Walter Cronkite as they explained the animation process.

While I do agree Mickey saying thanks Dad would've been a good idea, I feel like it was enough said with "Thanks, on with the show." Because that's Walt's iconic line from his old TV program.

As a french, I felt very emotional because like with Robin Williams, they used recording of the voice of original voice actors. The most important was Roger Carel, a guy who was the french voice of a lot of Disney characters of my childhood (including Mickey), who sadly past away three years ago. I'm pretty sure he would agree to coming back for participating at this project and doing again all the characters he voiced.

This is what we want, this right here. Heart, humor, visual beauty, equal attention to both types of animation, and a clear labor of love by the artists and actors, unblemished by the execs' meddling. I will forever thank the Almighty that I lived to see this, and that his infinite stupidness the CEO and his cronies apparently kept their noses out of it. Hopefully the success of this short convinces them to do it more often. Oh, I hope I play a part in telling a future Disney story someday.

Was about to cry when I watched this and "robin hood". Ho man! I wish that nowadays we would still create classics like that.

(11:57) You and me both. Home on the Range was a lousy way for 2D animation to end its run. But then along came Princess and the Frog in 2009. Proof hand drawn is still very much alive.

i think this short was the best and beautiful thing that disney's has done in a long time. I miss the hand drawing animation too! But this short made me cry like a baby! Oh god, i swear if Mickey called walt disney dad i would've just cried all over again! The duo i never thought i needed in my life, the genie from aladdin and olaf from frozen! The whole disney characters, both old and new, singing wish upon a star brought tears to my eyes but they came down once jimmy started to sing! i hope they'll do something like this again, the younger generation just does not know what they had missed! I remember having the video tapes when i was a kid and it holds so many memories! I love crossovers like this, kingdom hearts (which i still play to this very day) and house of mouse!

Nice job pausing to ID the characters (and impersonating them). This was a large short film by Disney standards and so fantastic. I loved all the characters coming together just like they did when I watched House of Mouse so many years ago

@6:51- That's Johnny Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet from Melody Time (I think). *Looks it up* Yeah! Melody time. There was a point when Disney Features had a collection of short musicals basically. I think this happened during WWII era. @6:59- The 3 people between Kronk and Pete and that Chicken (she's been in classic Mickey Mouse cartoons), they're from Strange Magic. It's okay if you didn't recognize them. I didn't see that movie either. Haven't seen a Disney animated feature since Frozen II. This special is also why I was an avid Disney fan. Even when they did hit low points in the past, I used to still have faith in them as a company. I don't anymore and that really hurts because I watched the Disney channel all of the time as a kid in the 80s (you bet I still got Ducktales theme song memorized). I'll still sing classical Disney songs too. I know he wasn't super popular, but I think Michael Eisner was the last decent Disney CEO before Bob Iger originally took over because Disney never bought any other IPs until he took over and that's when I think things started going downhill. Did you know that the song that played during the segment when Mickey talked to Disney's picture, it was Disney's fav song, Feed the Birds. One of the Sherman brothers (who composed a lot of Disney songs, including the music for Mary Poppins), he was still alive and IS the one playing the piano there for this segment. That makes this moment even more special. You should see some of the behind the scenes stuff. The OG VAs who did returned were so grateful to be apart of this. One of my fav details was Cinderella's gown was back to its original color from the movie. It was only made blue when the Disney Princess line was created. Disney got permission from Robin William's family AND the estate of the creator of Tarzan (and Jane) to use lines or the chars in this special too. I bet it was hard for the creators to figure out which was Robin's lines to use for this special since he had SOOO many unused lines since he improves a lot. Having Olaf with Genie is perfect too because Olaf's VA was inspired by Robin Williams.

On the chance you haven’t gone back to look at it again, the lion with the crown you thought was from Robin Hood around 14:45 is actually from the animated scenes from “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” starring Angela Lansbury (you can even see the medallion she tries to get from him around his neck).

There’s a rumor among people on social media that this short film was originally meant to be 14 minutes long rather than 9 minutes as we’ve got. If that were true, then I’m assuming the extra minutes probably would’ve showcased additional characters that didn’t make the cut. I also pictured to myself that if they threw in a certain spiky haired kid with a giant key serving as a sort of Disney security guard (a la Night at the Museum) holding a checklist of each character present. Granted, he’s a hybrid creation between Disney and Square Enix, but he has traveled to and traversed their worlds.

I actually liked home on the range I mean it wasn’t as mean spirited as chicken little and it was one of Disney’s last traditional animated films
