I almost passed out at 10:06 seeing my work featured in YOUR video😭🛐 The advice you gave was so helpful since I struggle quite a lot with perspective and directing the viewer’s eye to certain parts of the piece and you showed EXACTLY how to do that🩷 Everyone’s work was so cool🌷✨

The fact that the most used phrase in this video is “a little bit” is evident in the fact that most of these drawings don’t need a lot changes. It’s mostly just construction
@Ibite4fun

I like that you actually explain how your changes help emphasize the artist’s work, and you don’t just say that the “anatomy is off” or the shading is “funky.” You go into depth of how the artist could emphasize their art better, and that really helps.

Thanks so much,, Jackie,, for roasting & drawover my artwork! The silhouette’s so much better on your version! Man, what have I done 😩 Actually no longer a fan of eyebrows coming out front of hair either hahaha, but anime had consumed me since I was working at the studio using anime style (now not anymore).. This is a really great video and probably the most constructive art critique I've ever seen on KZfaq. The only thing is that in the revised version of the piece of the girls singing at 9:08 the girls seem a little aged up. The round faces of the original piece really sold that awkward preteen thing that I think the artist was going for. All of the critique that was left in the edit seemed like a big improvement though. It's crazy how much hair can add depth to a portrait like in the picture of the lady in a sweater and the lady in the white cloth in the wind.

Your video was randomly recommended to me and I love it. I hope you create more of this. It’s really interesting and I’m glad you respect the artists’ style. You just fix the basic elements and not “fix” them by turning it into your style. I think it’s amazing that you explain very clearly what you’re changing and why and it’s really helpful. Though it sometimes feels like you’re not emphasizing the feeling of a face and character and sacrifice it to the anatomy instead of bringing the personality of a face back onto a new, anatomically correct shape. Ofc you don’t have to do it all the way because you’re just sketching over, but I felt sad you’ve forgotten about the character. For example: 1. Prominent chin and umm… bumpy? nose, I’d return it to the face. Sweater looks like it’s not a classical shape but something more interesting of a neckline but the author probably could not emphasize it enough for it to be understood. I’d make eyebrows a bit thicker to keep the feeling “they’re so dark and thick they are visible through the bangs” but ofc keep them under the bangs :) 2. I see the author tried to make this girl more of a shy, hunched girl and adding sass instead of more shyness seems bit off. Etc etc. But your skill is amazing 💐💥

the only thing I disagree with in the WHOLE video is your suggestion that you'd like to open up the pose in the work at 3:00. that is the only thing you suggested that I think would actively alter the intent of the artist by changing the character and the vibe of the piece completely.

12:50 I really liked all of the improvements you made on the drawings before, but I don’t really like how you completely changed the character for this one. before she looked like a villain; she had a maniacal expression on her face, she looked unhappy, she looked evil; but now, she just looks like a magical girl? the improvements were fine, I just think you should’ve kept the original drawing and premise. I could be totally misinterpreting the character, but oh well
