Disney Channel and Nickelodeon clips and ads (2005)

Lots of snippets from the UK's Disney Channel, Toon Disney, Nickelodeon, and Nick Toons, all from the same tape and mashed together into one easily-digestible video. I believe they were recorded on Monday, 13th June, 2005, so look out for plenty of promos, idents, continuity, and ads of the era, plus a True Lies and Porky Pies segment centred on Fillmore.

2005 really was the last great year of Disney Channel. From 2006 onwards, they revamped the presentation, took off all the classic toons and films (besides Disney Channel Originals) and began to saturate it with all those teen sitcoms.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they struck a deal with Sky to make a specific Disney movie premium channel, and that was the beginning of the end.

I believe Studio Disney was axed in July 2005 without much of a fanfare considering IVC had more or less always been part of Disney Channel from the beginning, not long before this they had axed the Disney Channel Kids Awards

@@JHarper08 Studio Disney was called Disney Channel UK Live and it came from the studios of Corinithian TV, St. John's Wood it moved to Chiswick Park in 2002 and it remained there until 2005.

Nick UK reduced their live in-vision links to school holidays and relegated their live links to the mornings with The Crunch which launched the careers of Ed Petrie (CBBC) and Laura Hamilton who is currently on This Morning every now and then. not long after this Disney Channel was phasing out their family shows and moving them ABC1, Studio Disney was on its way out and Toon Disney would later become Disney Cinemagic I believe Cinemagic launched/Toon Disney was axed because Disney Channel had transitioned from the Premium package to kids for Sky/Cable.

I still think the biggest mistake any kids' broadcaster can make is getting rid of the in-vision presentation. That's what gives each channel its unique identity! Idents and promos are all very well, but they only get you so far.

@@VideotapeFTW It all started with CITV phasing it out permanently in 2004 then it became a trend, the only in-vision presentation now is CBBC and CBeebies but I reckon by next year when it moves digital it will be retired. Imagine if POP tried their hand at IVC but I can't see it happening considering it is low-budget channel

Actually, 17 episodes according to Wikipedia, now that I check. Also, it was created by Al Jean and Mike Reiss, who were behind some of the greatest episodes of The Simpsons. Never knew that.

Teen Angel was also briefly shown on CITV in 2004 and was part of Ministry of Mayhem's early line-up

For some reasons they spammed that show up until 2007! At least in minor time slots such as 1:30pm weekdays
