Coincidentally, both "Dumbo" and "Saludos Amigos" were paired together for theatrical re-release in 1949, 40 years earlier!

They were still using that bumper at the beginning of this video when we first got the Disney Channel around 1991. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that there actually was a Disney Channel magazine. Had a subscription. I sure hope that this era isn’t going to be ignored in the network’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

They aired *Saludos Amigos* before it ever got a home video release in this country.
