Tears at the heart strings every time. Such a timeless classic and life long lesson. It's always better to give than to receive. My favorite Christmas Carol was a variant that a small local theatre did a few years ago. It started off with you meeting “Charles Dickens” in the lobby as he mixed a traditional drink, and then before the show they had the audience drawing the London skyline on the walls with chock, and also had other games out to play. And then once the show started, it was Dickens telling his story with Scrooge interrupting to tell how it “really” happened. The only actors were Dickens and Scrooge (both friends of mine, I should disclaim), and the rest of the parts were filled in by audience members that were pulled on stage, and Dickens and Scrooge had to improvise around what the audience members gave them. (For instance, one would describe the best parts of Scrooge’s lost love, and he had to go with whatever qualities they described.) I’m pretty sure the actors themselves wrote it, and I went to multiple showings. Most years they do this style of small-cast audience participation to fill in the holidays. I’m always down for coming up on stage, but I know not everyone loves that style of show. (Also one of the perks of being a friend-if you go on a night where the audience isn’t so into the participation thing, they’ll grab their friends whom they know will play ball. Otherwise they try not to pick us too much when the general audience is more receptive.)

Hey I got that Jim Shore from Bibbidi too! I was super grateful. My teenage son had just done the play in junior high school and played Bob Crotchett. They didn’t know that either, so it was extra special!!

Christmas Carol has got to be one of the most timeless stories ever. Doesn't matter which version I'm watching, it always hits home😊

It’s a toss-up for me: Mickey’s/Muppets...maybe leaning more towards Mickey because it was one I had on VHS and watched all year round when I was a kid. Also, the next time I go to Disney I am stocking up on their rice krispy treats and freezing/rationing them. Had I known any of *this* would have been happening when I was there in Feb...I wouldn’t have taken such a small joy for granted. I only felt mildly silly asking someone to mule me a few last month. Worth it.

Tree farm Mickey is my favorite! Ooo I love Basin , their products are so nice! I absolutely love Mickeys Christmas carol and this one is on my wish list! I was just gifted the storybook one of the sensational 6 caroling and it gives me all the Christmas feels! I will definitely grab this one before next year! Oooo Mr. Magoo!! I had forgotten all about that! I prefer to get items I can utilize as well! Mickeys Christmas carol is my favorite version. 🎄

I just got back form Disney last week...among the many things that are clearly strange at Disney this year, one that really surprised me was there were ZERO Rice Krispies anywhere on property! I finally asked a CM and they just said they are having issues with supply chain. It makes sense of course. It's just that of all the things I mentally prepared for going "home", I did not prepare for no Rice Krispies and surprisingly low bakery cases all over property.

I’m not familiar with your favorite version, I’ll have to look that one up 🤷‍♀️ I just recently ordered from Amazon this season the Jim Carey’s version as well as the Muppets and Mickey’s version, I’ll be watching these tomorrow during my snow day ❄️❄️❄️ I also have a few book versions for my 4 year old and one came with a CD, it’s pretty cool! I just love that Jim Shore and Goofy is my favorite character especially as Jacob Marley 💙 I do have to say the distressed hat doesn’t seem to match the Minnie icon, maybe it could’ve been Mickey in the truck or Minnie not distressed, just my opinion, otherwise this box was amazing and I love that red reusable bag ♥️ -Juliann
