Sailing around the Greek Isles, we visit Mykonos and Santorini in this Disney Dream Disney Cruise Line vlog. This vlog includes a walking tour of Mykonos, a review of a day at Senses Spa onboard the Dream, a look at Palo Dinner (adult's only dining) and some 'know before you go' tips and tricks for this Mediterranean itinerary. My friend Jen and I also discuss what it's like being on this itinerary and focussing more on the adult-only activities/experiences. Can you enjoy a Disney Cruise without kids? Short answer: yes. In this vlog, the Disney Dream makes port in Mykonos and Santorini in Greece! Jen's off an excursion, so on the Mykonos day, I take a leisurely trip off the ship, showing you what tendering is with the help of the Valiant Lady by Virgin Voyages and what it's like getting the complimentary boat shuttle to the main town. Once in Mykonos, I check out the famous windmills, tour Little Venice and give you my review of the overall atmosphere and experience in the town. I also pop into a Gelato shop called Snow and have possibly the best ice cream ever!
Once back onboard the Disney Dream, I get a quick lunch at Flo's Diner, and settle by Satellite Falls to enjoy how quiet the ship is. In the afternoon, I get changed into my formal attire, for dinner with Jen at Palo! Prior to dinner, we enjoy a pre-cocktail at the Meridian Bar, where Jen shares some information about her excursion, and we chat about the more adult vibe onboard in general. At Palo, we review the dining experience, explain the Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club dining credit and share an overview of the food and experience.
The next day in Santorini, I chose to stay on the ship. I explain why I made that decision and the possible difficulties persons with a fear of heights or mobility issues may face in this particular port. Whilst Jen's on an excursion, I enjoy three Spa appointments at the Senses Spa onboard. I have a Fire & Ice Pedicure, a Deep Tissue Massage and a Sensitive BioTech Facial. I review each one and discuss whether the spa services are worth the money in my opinion.
Once Jen's back, I get confirmation that I made the right decision to stay onboard. We enjoy some relaxing by the pool, check out the violinist in the atrium and get some great Golden Hour photos out on the promenade deck. That evening we have dinner at Animator's Palate, and have a lovely meal with the create-your-own-character experience.
