i'm sure he knows that by now. while they're easy to make (unless you don't have a pumpkin farm, which he doesn't), they barely do any damage, and are only good for distracting.

but it's not neccessary. for place where you're not around to defend it, it's useful, but they're around that area alot, so it would be quite a waste. plus, they'd have to finish their fence so he doesn't wander away, and it would take up a lot of iron to actually make just one, and just one wouldn't help too much.
