I don't usually comment, but simply "liking" your reaction was not enough. Loved it!

Voctave's Christmas music (like Pentatonix) is FIRE. "O Holy Night" and O Come All Ye Faithful" are simply amazing (and showcase the vocal and breath control of soprano Tiffany Coburn and tenor E.J. Cardona (respectively). "The Great Movie Medley" (which is a medley of John Williams soundtracks) is also awesome (although only one song has words, they know how to make their voices sound like instruments).

Crying from the sheer beauty is my reaction when I listen to Citizen Queen’s cover of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman. CQ are an all-female five person group, so they have a soprano, a mezzo-soprano, an alto, a contralto (bass for women) and a beatboxer (the beatboxer is also an amazing singer and takes the lead in their cover of Bad Guy). But I would start with their Evolution of Girl Groups, by far their most viewed video. At the end of the videos they sometimes have “end-credits” for lack of a better term to tell us their names. They were put together partly by Scott from PTX, so you can hear his influence in Evolution of Girl Groups. It’s bloody amazing!

I watched this reaction yesterday, but had to come back and watch it again today. This is legit one of the best reactions I have ever seen, and I have seen thousands! Voctave is amazing and it can be overwhelming to hear such perfection! You are in for a treat my friend!

These are all Disney Singers. If you’ve ever been to EPCOT and have watched the Americana singers you’ll see all of these familiar faces. They are amazing. I’m glad they created their own group. They actually have one on a part. First and second sopranos, first and second altos, first and second tenors, first and second baritones, and bass. And since there is someone always singing the solo part they probably double up in learning parts. This is called an ensemble. When I was in high school I was in an ensemble much like this one (of course we weren’t THIS awesome but we won competitions).

I watched this video maybe 3 or 4 years ago, it was new and I saw it just because youtube recomended it. I never heard about voctave, was never interested in a cappella groups, but i played this video on curiosity and i melted too. Cried like a baby. They are absolutly amazing and perfect, there are no other words to describe them.

I thought you'd love them! I'm glad you gave the men some props, because so many reactors get bumfuzzled (and rightly so) by the sopranos. But those basses are hitting some stellar lows too. And they all have breath control beyond all reason. You're in for a treat working through their catalog.

Great reaction my man, from a guy who cries at Disney fireworks, I got you. This group formed out of Disney's Voices of Liberty, and some of them, including the crazy 1st Soprano Kate, still perform in Epcot on occasion. She is such a standout. As far as Voctave goes, they are so tight, the BEST "S"es in the game, their cutoffs are always on point...they are just a different level than other acapella groups. They have moved on to chess...keep up the good work.

His arrangements are incredible - he knows this group very well and that's how they get that harmony thing you were talking about..

Not to take away from the other 3 a capella groups you mentioned, these singers are older and more mature singers, hence why their harmonies and voices are so good!

Just my opinion, I think it is Voctave that is more of "the traditional" with its chorale music. Adding beat boxers and rhythmic bass and interpreting Top 40 songs is more of "un-traditional" acapella.

If you like Disney, you should do Voiceplay's aca top ten Disney villains medley!
