She definitely looks more realistic and pretty now! The projected faces are…okay, even good in several cases. But the full-fledged animatronic faces just look so much better in general, especially on human characters.

i like the projections on the dwarfs faces for the 7 dwarfs mine train ride. it fit them, but i dislike the projections on most other thinks.

Well in person the projected faces really look quite friendly and not buggy or cold. Camera doesn’t do it Justice but no contest obviously the animatronic face does look much better

The face is great! It doesn't fall into the uncanny valley at all, but what really impressed me was the smoothness of her gestures. All too often, designers treat an animatronic's arms like an afterthought.

The US parks don't want to pay for expensive animatronics. Cosmic Rewind even had the Animatronics cut last minute.

US parks are fully owned and financed by Disney. But International parks are majority owned by governments or other companies. Meaning they do the majority of the financing not Disney, making it much easier for these upgrades since it's not one company paying the bills.

The animatronic face looks so much better than the projected one. It actually looks more like Elsa from the movies. I hope they bring those animatronics to the US soon.

Got me with the ending lol. Honestly it's impressive what all is possible with animatronics and a huge Disney level budget! Since even the projected one, is still extremely amazing! But then to take that animation, and reconfigure it for the 3d face. Dang.

Having depth and shape to the face makes animatronics look so much better from odd angles, I remember sitting in the buzz light year queue and just staring at the face thinking he looks like slender man

YES!!!! Don’t get me wrong I like the projected face idea, but there’s something magical about a full on animatronic, without any projection. I feel like too many things now days are just “3D” or projection. This totally took my breath away though. What an amazing job DISNEY Hong Kong! 😱🙌🏻👏🏻❤

There is a really good reason they changed it because people kept seeing her face just turn pitch black while the music was playing so they had to fix that and now she has a real face but if her real face falls off some kids will not want to go to bed because one let it go starts playing they’re gonna be like leave me alone don’t eat me

It's wonderful, I think the reason the projected face didn't work as well in the first place is because the room isn't that well lit, but this is definitely an improvement.

The projection is an incredible feat of technology (I’ve seen it in person) and you can’t tell where it’s being projected from unless you try really hard cause no shadows are cast. But full animatronics just look 10x better

Every time I see a Disney animatronic, I just want to create an alternate universe where they're left running, unmaintained, for at least a decade. I want to see what that looks like in the end. I think it would be morbidly beautiful.

Projection faces were okay when they first started, despite all the blue screens and break downs. But animatronic faces are the top dog, feels more fluid even when it's just the mouth moving up and down.
