Herbie, the sentient Volkswagen beetle is back in high gear in Disney’s 1974 live action comedy, “Herbie Rides Again”.
Here The Disney Scrapbook explores the role and lives of its cast; from the home saver, Mrs. Steinmetz played by the First Lady of the American stage Helen Hayes, to the bad guy, smasher Alonzo Hawk, played by the incomparable Keenan Wynn.
The Academy award winning duo from Mary Poppins producer, Bill Walsh, and director Robert Stevenson once again, team up together to create a sequel where the loveable bug is back doing his thing; culminating in Helen, Herbie and a heap of hilarious happening!
