Disney used to experiment with their films. If it wasn't for Marvel and Star Wars, Disney may have been on a decline. Most Disney movies up until Emperor's New Groove focused on being these grand epic stories told in cartoon with the comedy bits thrown in here and there. I feel like this was the first Disney animated movie that threw that traditional Disney formula out the window and was strictly a full comedy from day one. Twenty years later and it's still quite possibly the funniest Disney movie of all time.
@samanthony81212 жыл бұрын
Oh look up the history of the production for a very interesting story. It actually was a giant epic story written by the Lion King director Roger Allers called Kingdom of the Sun. They did an insane amount of work on it until it all fell apart and they completely changed everything last minute to fix it. The script, characters, story, everything. Sting had actually made a bunch of songs for it but they all got scrapped. They had merchandising deadlines for the movie they had to meet but no movie. The reason the backgrounds for ENG are so sparse is because they ran out of time to work on it. It all worked out though because the movie is great

I don't mind the computer animation, but I agree with you. I actually want to get into drawing animation for the future, probably why I love the old style Disney movies :)

Naomi Alex computer animation is getting over rated & im honestly tired of it, the whole 3D animation. I know it's faster but 2D animation is so much more classic & amazing. Why can't Disney just make 2D movies anymore like they way they used to.
@TooCooFoYou6 жыл бұрын
lazyassixx Disney DOES still use hand drawn animation, but only for concepts, storyboarding and what-not. It just became more profitable for them to use computer-generated animation, as that is what's "in" these days.
