Steve and I were Ellie and Carl last Halloween. Probably the best couple costume we ever did because Up the cutest Disney movie. Carl and Ellie's love story is so adorable that I had to make the story part of this video. It took almost 2 weeks to prepare and film this video. We went furniture shopping to get the perfect red and yellow chair,tables, wallpaper etcs and also rearranged all the furnitures to make it look just like Up's living room. I also made most of the decors like the Wall Curio,lamp shades and sewed the curtains. It was a lot of work but we made it happen. I was sad during that part of the movie, but the part that *really* made me cry was when Carl opened Ellie's adventure book and it was filled with pictures of their marriage, and the final note said, "Thanks for the adventure. Now go have one of your own. I love you, Ellie." Never fails to make me cry, no matter how many times I see it.

I have such a special place in my heart for this movie, but it's bitter sweet for me. My husband and I knew each other since we were little kids and we always played together. He was my best friend. Many years later, we married and have been struggling with infertility. We found out that after three years (one full year of medical treatment), we are just not able to have a child. We have been living our lives for adventures. We save up as much money as we can to go to a new country or a place to have our adventure together. We also have a dream of, one day, living abroad. We plan on both living until we are at least 90 years old, but if I did pass away before him, I hope he will find closure the wonderful way Carl had.

Thibault Mertens that's a lot harder than you think it is and also extremely expensive right off the bat, on top of the cost of raising a child. We have already looked into this. We have friends that's been on the waiting list for over four years. Easier said than done :)
