Private Track is fun for playing with big groups of friends...up to 8 people can race and all of the characters are available in that mode

there is one thing you didn't mention but its understandable since you were playing this for a few hours only there are more modes the unlock all the characters called local Freeplay and private match, witch private match can be used to play online lobbies with your friends

Crazy part is Game loft used to be lit they actually made some quality mobile games for a while

My advice for f2p players are: claim your daily free log in rewards, finish your daily missions and mystery boxes, complete your daily event challenges, these will only take less than 30 mins. Weekly missions stack, so there's no hassle to grind it. Do some if you have time. Empty the Weekly Event Challenge & Regulated Multiplayer Rewards, can be done once a week and a good practice against other players. Seasonal Challenges are permanent, complete them after you're good enough. Always manage your upgrade items. If you feel you already fully grasp the full potential of your favorite racer, level it up and compete in Rank Multiplayer. In-game tokens should only be used for Golden Pass. Multiplayer and Season Coins should be spent only for gacha to maximize the growth of your Collections for more free rewards. This game will only reward f2p players if you invest a portion of your time.

One thing about disney Speedstorm thats better than Mario Kart is the Character roster. Mario Kart has some cool characters... but lets keep it 💯 Nobody is trying to play 5 different versions of Mario.... Mario, Baby Mario, Gold Mario, Metal Mario, Tanooki Mario.... Its a crime fan favorite characters like diddy Kong and Funky Kong were not in the game for 8 years. And locked behind a paid DLC Disney has lots of characters that feel different and Unique to play! As well as having unique items! Mario Kart Double Dash used to have that feature (character specedic items) but for some reason Mario Kart scapped that idea which made Mario Kart worse after gamecube in my opinion

Best racing game i've played in a while.

Literally couldn't say it better myself. Brollainr review. This game is so damn good, but i can't shake the feeling of hating myself for playing it. I haven't spent much on it - only about five bucks, for season 4's season pass - but i already feel the fomo for season 5, and I'll probably break down and get that season pass as well.

I've had this game since it was 1st available in founders mode and every season up to launch basically gave u 5 to 7 characters so paying $20 upfront outvalued spending $100 today. And prior to the actual launch there weren't any transactions in the game at all for actual currency

Another disney game, disney heroes battle mode, have much faster progression and allows to unlock currently over 210 heroes, 1 added every 3 weeks, and it's full of lore and stories. Each hero has a friendship with another 2 heroes which then you play thru friendship campaign full of dialogues and story. And one of games ever to include TV characters like Perry the Platypus, Kim Possible, Jake Long, Gargoyles and many more. Same with movies like Bolt and Meet the Robinsons. This is something what disney speedstorm needs, because after single player there is only ranked multiplayer full of people which spend thousands causing you to lose (and lose fun too). Overall I recommend both games for their own reasons.

If the game us free then microtransactions arent a big deal in my opinion. U can spend 15 to 30 on the game instead of 60. Or just spend 0 and have fun for a while

As a free to play player, there was a little bit of a grind to begin with, but I was able to earn 3 new characters and collection rank 9 in About 2 weeks, I bought the 2$ coin bundle to get the last little bit of currency to unlock the gold pass, after earning 790 currency from single player and online. I place 1st 25% of the time. It is annoying that characters levels affect stats, but I could have bought the game at launch and been ahead of the pack at the time. Instead I waited for F2P and it is what it is, I still get top 3 80% of the time, and even if you come dead last, you still progress.

Actually I like this game. I only spend 29 bucks founder’s pack and now I almost have every character. There is one problem though. The multiplayer mode is too challenging after rank 21. So I would just stop once I reached rank 21.

You can honestly earn every character for free. Like you mentioned it’s obviously faster if you spend money but I’ve only been playing for 1 week and I’ve unlocked Belle, Mowgli, and Meg just from Multiplayer or Universal boxes. And even though it’s slow you can earn premium currency by leveling up your MPR (Multiplayer Rank) which is different than your League which is nice. Also you didn’t mention Regulated multiplayer. Every character is the same level (30) meaning you can use any character you want and not have to worry about whales who max leveled their fave character like in ranked. They also have rotating featured characters you can play as if you don’t have them and you can use them as many times as you want until the next rotation.

This game would be soooo much better if this was Offline and you could just unlock the worlds and what not and unlock characters that way. That would be so amazing. Love that it’s free! But I wish you could just buy it and not worry about the online mode.

f2p can easily earn many many good characters, the biggest issue is getting past season characters is rough, a f2p can earn cash shop currency (tokens) by leveling in ranked, up to mpr 16 you don't lose any rank for coming below 4th, a f2p can easily earn enough tokens to buy the battle pass within a week or two or casual play, play all the of single player and season chapters, you will easily earn material to be competitive

Not everyone can roll every item from item boxes. You can check their items in their bios. The game does P2W but there are dozens of hours of racing here to be had as a F2Player without ever having to engage with it. Once you finished the starter circuits which takes about 50-90 mins you can play in private lobbies local or online where everything is unlocked for free with no grind. Not mentioning this was disingenuous. You can even play racers that haven't been put in other modes yet. On top of that, you can play regulated MP where the only grind is for unlocking a racer as the levels and star ranks are fixed. There's a lot more to enjoy here for free and without any grind than you let people in on.

I agree that the game lacks content, big time! The single-player mode has different "race modes" in which you race in a team or avoid being eliminated, but it's not enough. CTR for example has battles and the ring races. Mario Kart has had boss battles in arenas and also the multiple battle modes. Disney could have used the characters and made a story mode. Battle mode missing in a multiplayer-competitive racing game? please...

That is pretty much their target goal and as someone who played since early access, once free to play dropped their formula actually changed DRASTICALLY. This game is absolutely fire! Better than Mario kart Been playing since early access a few months ago Less rubber banding . More room for skill. And the graphics and gameplay has wayyy more depth. It’s a lot of fun I highly recommend because I don’t wanna see a good game die cuz of bad advertisement

the game is good, but they try to make ya buy things too often. it's just better to slowly grind and earn things for free. they give out free stuff all the time, and you win many things also. the bad is that some races need a specific character and if you don't have that character, your can't play. plus even if you just got the character, now you need to raise it's rank up high to be able to win the challenge. so those are downfall of the game, but it's free, which is a big plus side.

All in all, pretty good review, but you should play more, I'm a f2p player and have your "pay-locked-players" like Jasmine, Meg, Jafar and well on my way to get other players, I've played about 4hrs already, and have characters at lvl 19 17 14 so on and so on with plenty of upgrade tokens left. It obviously rewards p2w players, but the game isn't p2w, it heavily encourages grinding Another note, there is a bunch of single player content, there's chapters and events, even practice races and private races for just you and your friends.

I enjoy this game. Of course the microtransactions are always going to be annoying, but I've been able to get plenty without paying a physical dollar, so I can look past it currently. I think a lot of people forget that it's a FREE TO PLAY game. For a free game, it's not bad at all. It's a nice change of pace from usual games that I play. And yes, the music bops hard! I give it a solid 7/10.

I downloaded this game to play splitscreen with my wife, only to find out that it's locked behind "collector's level 3", which seems to require at least a couple hours of playtime to reach. This immediately killed the game for me. I have no interest in this game outside of couch co-op, and I'm not going to waste my time to grind out "collectables" just to unlock that mode. Seems pretty rediculous to me.

Just a heads up, I tried it out. Unfortunately, I only made it to Chapter 2, race 2. I couldn't progress any further to play the multiplayer because, as of the time of me writing this, I HAVE to purchase Jack Sparrow OR wait every 24 hours to get a CHANCE to get his shards in the free daily box. They are forcing people to PAY to unlock the rest of the game. I thought it would be just ad spam but nope, its actually locked behind a paywall. "Free to play" is a lie on their part. Maybe I'm dumb or can't see how but yeah, that's my experience with it. It was a demo, not even the single player game.
