I can't believe it took THAT LONG to create a building with chairs in it and a garden with trees and benches ... the entire change is underwhelming for how long it took. This should have been done in less than a year. Why did it take, 4 -5 years??? And don't give me "covid"! Universal is almost done building an ENTIRE new park that will be completed in less than 2 years!!!

As an out of state visitor, a day such as this would be a total waste of money to drive hundreds of miles to get here. Locals and once every year visitors have different perspectives. Communicore seems a waste of good space.

Hi, local here. I'm absolutely disgusted with what Disney has done to WDW over the past 10 years. Absolute abomination. What a waste! If they think these things are going to secure people coming in the future then they're going to have their ASSES handed to them because there's nothing to do, no vision for imagination, no inspiration, no amazement. Ripped out what worked and replaced it with lunchrooms and empty courts to walk in. Star Wars is a flop. Pandora sucks and takes forever to get to. Tomorrowland is old tired and outdated. Everything sucks.

The big problem was buying FOX, or at least paying too much for it. It put them in a bad financial position they still haven't recovered from. The Epcot renovation directly reflects the effect it had on the parks. They had to cut a lot and couldn't afford to work on the parks during shutdown.

Imagine what it would be like if the Iger Company could swallow its misplaced pride, admit they’ve been exploiting Walt’s legacy to indoctrinate children into deviant lifestyles, and reversed course on their “woke” crusade. I’m a lifelong Disney fan, but the current management, along with a slew of demented employees, have probably doomed it for good. They were handed a platinum brand and destroyed it so thoroughly that no one trusts it any more. Just look at the lack of guests in JUNE! Most people get what’s happening and want nothing to do with this perversion of a once great company. The Iger Company is on life support and next year Epic Universe will come along and pull the plug. Oh, and as with anything this company does these days, this Epcot “reimagining” is a pile of hot garbage. I’ve seen better interior design in the local mall.

I went to Epcot for the first time in the summer of 1983 when it was still known as Epcot Center. It's really changed since that time without a doubt. It had only been open for about 6-7 months. I can only remember " The World Of Motion" "The Living Seas", The Land, Universe of Energy with the REALLY LARGE Animatronic Dinosaurs that you rode through. I think Exxon sponsored it , but don't remember for sure. This ride was replace by the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Roller Coaster that uses the inside space where the Dino's used to be. And naturally, the Giant Golf Ball" Space Station Earth. I would pass out in the heat now...and too many people to deal with. This is why I like to watch these vlogs...I can sit and watch them from the comfort of my house and not melt in the Florida heat.

It is bland for sure, but so was the original Communicore buildings. I went to Epcot on day one, Oct 1 1982 and much of those buildings were left partially empty for years. The same premise back then is true for Communicore today: A flex same that will be ever-changing. I am not saying I like it, because I would rather see an attraction put in there rather than a meet-and-greet, but it does keep the original intent of that area. But I do wish they still had those fountains as you do!

I miss everything that they were going to do with EPCOT that got scrapped. Especially the Mary Poppins area. The area inside with the a/c will be a nice place to relax on hot days like we are having now but I am sure it will definitely get noisy though with people coming in to relax and chit chat.~~ I love your shirt. It’s cute.

I know Disney's budgets are extremely, super limited right now...but they could drape steel cables and nylon fabric over that audience area to create a ton more shade over people's heads. I know that material and steel cables are relatively CHEAP. Couldn't they have at least painted the walls in the hall and themed it with colors and art and....I dunno..."THEMEING"??? Just paint colors and artwork on the walls? It looks like a government high school lunchroom. I have seen small city airports that are better decorated and more interesting than this hall. Where did the Disney magic go? Oh, yeah,...they were all hired away by Universal and other companies. Ugggg....6+ years for this?

I feel ur pain woo. As a huge fan and avid visitor of the OG Epcot Center I am astonished of how it all makes the Hindenburg like a fun, safe ride. When I go to WDW today and could only visit 3 parks Epcot would be a no go for me. It’s a shame as I do love the food offerings here. It may be different if I drank booze which like yourself I do not imbibe.

Where is the real Epcot that caused such a great impact on us, when opened It’s doors in the early 80’s?!?! What a tasteless, charmless and with nothing special to be remembered area became the old Future World Plaza!!!!!!! ☹️

Decided to watch Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland tonight since they just added it to Disney+. Watching this and then that made me just so incredibly sad. We really lost the plot..

Epcot was always my favorite in the 80s/90s. We went for my birthday after the turn of the century & I was really disappointed, not only had it lost its magic it was actually more dirty than I've ever seen at a major theme park. Havent been back since & likely wont ever go, too expensive for me to be standing in long lines with tons of people in the blazing sun; I live in Florida, I can do that locally for free.

Not sure if it is your choice of words, or Disney's, but I don't think anyone could be accused of loitering in any Disney park, considering what they charge for admission...

Does that Encanto show only serve to remind people that Hispanic people exist and have the Spanish language and culture? In Florida? At EPCOT?
