Ohana dinner at Disney’s Polynesian Rrsort. Welcome back Traveler Family! We thought we would revisit one of our longtime favorite restaurants to check out the changes since we visited last year. The view is always spectacular especially for dining with fireworks. The chicken was the best thing on the menu! (even better than the famous O'hana Bread Pudding). Let us know what you think!

Hi Hector!!!! There are lots of changes everywhere! I'm finding restaurants that I wouldn't give a second glance are now my favorite. So hard to get used to. The views are excellent of course and the service was great. The food - just not so this time. Hopefully we will get everything together to go live this week. It was a good dinner. Michelle put those on right at the end and it really showed the changes. Bread pudding was good but still not our favorite. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.

It was a good meal. I honestly could have kept eating those dumplings along with the Shrimp snd Chicken. Hope you have a wonderful time and you will definitely have to let’s us know what you thought.

I remember the coconut races! And the normal salad! And the sauces! And the skewers! I'm sure we'll still try Ohana again but this is sad compared to what it was. Thanks for another honest review and starting with the merch- I love that resorts cute stuff. Have a great week!

Ohana is my husband’s favorite restaurant for 25 years. We have to start and end our vacation there. He stays online for hours to get the fireworks reservation times but he always gets them. Ohana dinner has been hit or miss lately but breakfast is always great

We agree Ohana’s is a hit or miss but we like to go once in awhile just for the experience. I remember a time we had standing Friday night reservations for two months straight lol. We were just at the Polynesian on Thursday & ate at Kona Cafe. Yesterday we ate at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. Good food, love the look of the Lodge. Love seeing the trains Walt Disney owned. Hope to see you two around sometime. Love your Vlogs ❤️😊Also we are hooked on the Paw Juice. Lol 😆

Ohana is one place I've always wanted to try but have never made the reservation because I'm worried my kids won't eat any of it and honestly, I hear a lot of mixed reviews. I really enjoy you guys doing the comparisons on what the food looks like now vs. a year ago. Hope you guys have a great week!

I got food poisoning from the Shrimp at Ohana. Won't be going back. We go to Kona. Hope they don't get rid of the Mahi Mahi BLT after refurbishment at Kona. Love the drink called Lapu Lapu in a Pineapple. The Mahi BLT is Delicious! Candied Bacon 🥓, lol. Great vlog. Would love to see Flying Fish review. Going to it in October.

Our first time eating at Ohana was in September so i don't know what it was like before. I would love a Gyoza or Peanut sauce at the table. I think the food is good but just don't get $59 worth of value from it. It is overall a fun experience but after 2 times eating here I am ready for a long break from Ohana. Thanks for sharing. Debbie it was a good meal. The chicken and shrimp I could have eaten all night along with the dumplings. The steak was just not eatable this trip. Was much better on our first trip. 20 days till cruise day and we can’t wait. Hope you have a great rest of the week..

We went to Ohana last December and we’re lucky enough to have a fireworks view. My 22 year old said it was the most magical meal she’d ever had. ❤️ Made the whole trip worthwhile. I’m with you, I don’t like musicians that wander through a restaurant. Stress inducing. This was another great video. Thanks for sharing.

I need to catch up on your vlogs! Y’all are such a joy. I laughed so much watching this review. When Michelle said there is very little salad just flowers and leaves I had to cross my legs so I wouldn’t pee myself laughing. Being a mom I know you understand Michelle. Now I’m so excited to be staying at the Polynesian on our next trip. I was looking for a hotel that felt like a vacation while also being disneyfied. Looks like the Polynesian is a perfect fit. Plus my son’s girlfriend is vegan and Ohana does a vegan platter. Great video you two. Michelle you had me laughing today. I love your banter with Todd. Chuck and I are the same way and I also have similar food standards.

Hi Julie! Nice! Love the Polynesian Resort! Yes, I think you will have a wonderful and magical vacation! The theming is awesome. Yes, Disney in general does a good job offering vegan options - all you have to do is ask! Even if you don't see anything on the menu, always say something to your server as usually they can accommodate your needs. I give him such a hard time lol but he does that to me also! Are the dumplings, noodles, and wings different than ones at tambu lounge, trader Sam’s and capn cooks? agree about sauce for dumplings👍🏼…I will have to ask for something. Thanks for info on walk ups. My husband only eats iceberg lettuce so that salad would be good for me but not him😂

Tambu Lounge has it's own menu now. Nothing from ohana's is served there. Same with trader Sam's - they have their own menu. Kona now has a Kona to go menu also and all the menu's appear to be different. All she could come up with as far as sauces was either the teriyaki on the steak or the peanut sauce from Kona which was a bit spicy and vinegary lol if that is a word. Walkups seem to be the thing everywhere now. Not a leaf of iceberg lettuce to be found here! lol Thanks so much for spending time with us! We appreciate you joining our Traveler Family! - Michelle

Hi Ann! We had a hard time this time with the music. It was so loud and it made everyone in the restaurant talk louder. Anxiety provoking for sure. It is a well themed restaurant with lovely views. You will have a great time there! - Michelle

I do not like the salad anymore at all bec. I agree it is not really a salad. There is no lettuce! I love the dressing though. It was a must do for our family each trip, but aside from the pot stickers and bread pudding, we just don't love it anymore. We tend to just eat the noodles, pot stickers, and steak. I am too lazy to peel the shrimp, and so contrary to popular opinion I did mind the shrimp casserole from the reopening. I love the Poly vibes, but I can't justify the price for the food quality and content anymore. The meat is just not the same. I do prefer this ukulele player to the woman they used to have. He is less intrusive lol.

This was one of our favorite restaurants but don’t like the new changes! It seems it’s harder and harder to get a real salad at Disney these days…what happened to good old iceberg lettuce? I like crisp not limp and weird 😊 the last time we were there I felt the same about the steak..chewy and tasteless.

Hi S Stypa! Yes I agree with you 100%. Restaurants are so afraid of just plain lettuce! lol Really the chicken was the hit this time. The shrimp would have been great but I just can't eat shrimp without some sort of sauce. The noodles were good but I went away generally a little disappointed. The views are awesome of course. I have such a hard time with changes! I'm too sentimental I think. Glad we are like minded! Thanks so much for Traveling around with us! - Michelle

We usually only get one before dinner so we don’t get filled up. Have save as much room as we can for the noodles and the fire grilled shrimp. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend

It's a shame how Disney has ruined this concept, either by laziness or cheapness. And the price only goes up. I would stick with the good memories of this place and go somewhere else for dinner. $59 pp for some cheap skirt steak, chicken thighs and peel and eat shrimp. GTFOH

It’s definitely not the same Ohana’s as it once was. Food prices everywhere have gotten crazy. It definitely isn’t a must do for us but many first time guest want that experience which we totally understand. We hope you are having a fantastic day.
