Disneyland Beauty and the Beast Live! (1993)

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast Live!" opened at Disneyland in California on April 12, 1992. This production was very popular, and had over 4,300 performances in just over three years. Tony Award nominee, and Broadway legend Stephanie J Block was the original Belle. It also served as a development platform for the Broadway musical, which ran from April 18, 1994 -- July 29, 2007. The Disneyland musical played its final performance on April 30, 1995.

R.I.P. David Ogden Stiers and Jerry Orbach (the voices of the narrator, Cogsworth and Lumiere). These American actors passed away and went up to heaven too soon.

After being a Disneyland passholder I later saw Beauty and the Beast at Disneyworld and was completely horrified. Such a stellar production at Disneyland. Such a lousy production in Florida! Couldn't believe it. Love this version, thanks for posting.

I just found this too. I was in wardrobe. I am still dressing with Local 768 Los Angeles. Been dressing since 1989. Still love my job.. Shelley Graves Jimenez
