Disneyland FINALLY Reopens!

On April 30th 2021, Disneyland reopened to the public for the first time in over a year. We returned to Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom on this historic day for what turned out to be a very emotional homecoming filled with rides, friends, Disney character interactions, the birds of Disneyland, food and new treats. I have only been on two trips to Disneyland. 2008 and 2019 and loved it but always grew up going to WDW and have been to Disneyland Paris more than this park but I can't wait to be there again with Jackie and spend time at the original park. It is such a special place and what an experience to be back in on opening day!

I cried the second I saw Cast Members waiving at everyone , saying “Welcome back home”, and being their cheerful selves. I can’t wait for y’all to go to Tokyo Disney. The experience of walking in and seeing Cast Members doing the same there is just as emotional if not 10 times more.

I have to admit, I initially voted no on Peter's new hat lol. But it looks like it fits better in this video than it did on the livestream. Maybe it's the fun matching mask making it feel different. Kitra, we talked about whether or not I should watch your videos in case there were any spoilers for when I got in two weeks, but I wanted you to know I couldn't stop myself!! Not only did I want to see your emotions and joy about returning, I also wanted to learn your tips so I don't miss anything! I have to say, I'm so glad I watched it! The tip of bringing an extra mask, the opening day merch only at the Emporium, walking up instead of mobile ordering, and Walt's butt check had me laughing on the floor!!! I’m 40 years old and have only been to Disneyland once - when I was 3 yrs old. Needless to say, I don’t remember it and due to living on the East Coast now, I’m more of a WDW gal. Nevertheless.... What a wonderful adventure for you and your group today. Hope to you you in Downtown Disneyland or at Knotts Berry Farm one day. Got reservations at Knotts. The online cue was crazy on the 26th but worth the wait. Loved seeing how emotional you two were it’s such a magical place and loaded with memories for everyone. Easy to understand how you both felt. My bestie ( more like a twin flame )loves Disney and just turned 50. She loves ,adores , breathes everything Disney. She was Devastated when Disney closed. She's had a lot of health issues this year. I almost lost her. So this year I got her and I tickets to the oogie boogie festival plus park hopper. She is going to 100% cry. Then I will cry because she's crying. Doing CA Adv on the 8th, and DLand on the 9th, with my soon to be 18 year old daughter who is off to college in Boston in the fall. 4 minutes of this video and I am already crying! As a brazilian, I still have a little more time to wait until I can see the castle again but seeing this give me so much hope (not just about Disneyland but about life and about better days to come for all of us). Thank you Peter and Kitra for bringing the magic to me while I can't be there - I am with my heart now. Great to see you 2 so happy, makes me happy too. Bye 🥳

You guys i was trying not to cry for this video hehe. Everytime kitra cries it makes me cry. To see how much you guys love this place warms my heart. I would probably cry in person to seeing all those cast members. Love you guys soooo much. And any cast members in the comments, know that YOUR THE MAGIC AND THANK YOU!!!
