I have always driven to Disney, mostly because the channel tunnel wasn't that far, and we can pay for it with tesco club card vouchers 😂 but now I live in West Wales and flying feels like it might be a better idea, even with two kids. I've always been a bit nervous about transport at the French end, but I think you've put my mind at rest.

Really looking forward to seeing all the Hallowe'en content and the new Avengers Campus. I live in Belfast and one of our airports (Belfast International) recognise the 'sunflower lanyard' scheme, which allowed 'Hidden' disabled passengers access into a priority security lane and a special assistance lane in order to assist passengers through security as smoothly as possible. Autism is classified as a 'hidden' disability under the scheme and it may be helpful to one or more of the kids when it's a it too busy at the airport. I did a quick google and found that both Bristol and Cardiff airports (if its helpful for future trips) in addition to Gatwick and Heathrow support the scheme, and, Sanford Airport, Tampa Airport, Vero Beach and Fort Lauderdale and Miami Airports, Melbourne Orlando International and Orlando Airport are apparently either part of or going to be part of the scheme very soon if you're ever planning to go to Florida again. I don't know whether it would be of use to you or your family but I wanted to ensure you were aware in case it was. You can get sunflower lanyards either from the 'Hidden Disability' website or free in Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury's and I think Morrison's stores (No Morrison's in Northern Ireland), among others for free and you don't have to divulge why they're needed or if you're ordering from the website you just pay postage. A lot of mask exempt people wore them when masks were mandatory and some stores marketed them as such, but they've been around much longer than covid has and are for multiple disabilities including sight or hearing loss, diabetes, aphasia, dyspraxia, Multiple Serosis, Epilepsy, Autism, anxiety and more.
