Her case is too exaggerated at this point. Her crisis communication response was impeccable. She acknowledged her mistake, apologized for it to the public and to the original brands, while also deleting all videos and pictures that featured those items. She explained the situation by knowing her own faults and responsibilities. This wasn't even entirely her fault, I can imagine how difficult it is to distinguish original items from knockoffs. Anyway, this is how a professional PR organization would have responded in the case of an organizational crisis, so i'm very proud of Ji A for being so honest and working through this crisis while remembering the audience that her fans are her priority and not her pride as an influencer. I feel really sorry for her, she doesn't deserve this treatment.

People are jealous on how attention she get now because of her face and status. But jia did not think of how one mistake will affect her career. You know how knetz destroy idols career and ended up leaving their group, Jia is not an exception because her popularity is huge now even internationally. Yes, Jia make mistake ( but I hope people are not saying stuff that it is not a big deal to fake things to get attention from others or wear fake products especially if you are a public figure, it is not okay because that brand is also not just an ordinary brand, you know how fashion world is crazy about that too) It is not okay and yes she made a mistake but it is also not okay to say bad things about her to the point that people are exaggerating things up. This is Showbusiness and business is priority on this industry haha It may affect this on positive way or negatively.

The problem is that her reputations were built by her flexing branded stuff, so of course she will get backlash when people know it's fake. It's a different story if she built herself as singer etc and then owning fake stuff. I am not saying she deserves this severe backlash to the point that she can't become a public figure anymore, but her followers or the public outrage were justified in a sense.

Actually 20 items were speculating to be fake but only 8/20were fake. She brought 500 items in total to authenticate and everything else was real. So technically 8/500 were fake, but 492/500 were real.

As someone who has been following jia for a long time, I knew that she owned real items and that the apartment she lived in was rented out herself. But I didn’t think there was any reason to question it. This is so sad, it’s even sadder that she had to go to dispatch herself to defend herself and apologize again. What is her company doing? I hope she gets some rest and is ok mentally. I also hope she leaves the company she with cause they threw her under the bus.

I understand the harm that fake clothing can bring especially to artists and designers such as the devaluing of their hard work, I understand the unethical background of fake products like underpaid/unpaid labors, I understand the issues with false advertising, I understand all of the issues and immorality of promoting fake clothing and all that, but Mary, did yall really have to exile Jia over this? Everyone buy’s fakes from time to time and even sometimes the fakes LOOK BETTER than the real ones🤣😭 she’s even apologized multiple times via writing a letter, a video apology, deleting all her vids and pics with fakes, taking more accountability by posting as much proof as she can (more than half the industry does for actual serious things 🤨) Like why does she have to do all of this to prove herself? it’s ridiculous🤦🏽♀️ I understand her loosing a couple of brand deals understandable because it’s rude to some business and understandable. This controversy reminds me of that jdrama i’ve watched so much… in the drama the girl who is an influencer posted a pic of her showing off a bag that a brand sent her things started to get ill when a follower of her stated that it’s a knockoff and people in the comments chimed in putting all the blame on her the drama successfully portrayed the emotion and frustration of the influencer in the drama it’s sad because as simple as that it can create a huge impact into your mental health. I hope Jia is alright.

I honestly understand her. I dont wear luxury brands or their counterfeit, but people always say I can make cheap item look expensive. And i really like that feeling when everyone thinks I'm wearing expensive clothes when in fact they're super cheap. Also, there is nothing wrong with wearing dupe items, while counterfeit/knockoff is wrong. However, not everyone knows the difference between dupe and counterfeit. AND! She has wayyyyyy more real authentic items compared to the fake ones (which i think is 8 items). Plus, i personally hate cancel culture. Who are we to decide who to cancel and who should not.

She even mentioned on her video that she wear unbranded items. so i think, for her it is not big deal if she wear fake items. What matters is even it is fake, it suits her and it looks real on her.

One of the lamest case to get cancelled over! I was so sad when she deleted her videos and Instagram post, I love her vibes and style, she voiced her opinion authentically, her fashion taste was over the top I could care any less if it’s counterfeit or not like the way they are investigating this as if she committed a crime 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I hope Jia comes back again and stronger 🙌

super unrelated but i totally understand the not knowing it’s a knockoff when purchasing thing. whenever i go on taobao or forever21 or something i’m always so scared that i’m buying a knockoff. like these brands steal designs and stuff and if you’re not super in the know it’s pretty hard to tell. so for those specific pieces i get where she’s coming from.

The only thing she should apologize for is misleading her audience but everything else idc, idc care if someone wears real or imitation designer stuff as long as their straight up about it cause at the end of the day it’s not that serious and some luxury brands just mad some imitations look just as good if not better than the authentic stuff they make, im not encouraging buying imitations im js sometimes the imitations are better and don’t cost as much cause authentic designer quality is decreasing but the prices are increasing so I can see why some people who really wanna own something luxury but can’t afford it go for the imitation anyway she apologized and is now reflecting on her actions but only time will tell if she’s really changed and won’t do it anymore

What makes her think that nobody will know if she wears fake luxury brands? I have seen many people wearing fakes n they don't seem to realize that there are people who actually can roughly tell whether the brand item they wear are authentic or fakes. She is so self-assured and naive.

They're doing what they did to Sulli and Gu Hara. 2 beautiful korean girls.. they were bullied online, threated and harrased and committed suicide in the end from depression. They're trying to do the same and bring this poor girl down.. I really hope she's safe and can get protection or help of some kind. People are cruel and just .. ridiculous.

Woooowwww ppl REALLY tore this girl apart for 20 fake items out of 500+ OUTFITS AND ITEMS SHE WORE.....ppl really just wanted to hate her but they couldn't find a reason so they went looking for one. Honestly, for those ppl, especially the ones that sent death threats I would take them to court 😤 for harassment. This was handled very well from a PR stand point and I hope Jia comes back and is even MORE famous, more successful and more wealthy than she was. I hope her and her family are doing okay. This is not that big of a deal. She shouldn’t lie but the case is closed now. She more than redeemed herself by being this honest. She is a good example of how public figures should conduct themselves. People make mistakes. Some mistakes are unforgivable. This is not one of those mistakes. Can we talk about politicians and how they lie?
