Absolutely. You can easily monitor any specific talk group as a channel in the radio just as if it were affiliated. I often use wildcard (talk group 0) to find an incident and then switch to a preconfigured zone such as Lifeguard, and then select the specific TG/channel I want to hear.

@@AdventureCruiser Do you monitor Phase 1 or Phase 2 normally? Any Simulcast issues have you noticed? You're really starting to make me think I need one of these lol.

@@Firefighter6940 I’m switching between both types of systems multiple times a day, and absolutely no issues with simulcast unlike my old scanners.

@@AdventureCruiser Do they come stock with Phase II capability, or is that a license/addon, if so how does that work?

@@Firefighter6940 I believe every feature is selectable at the time you order the radio. Not all have all bands or all features, but features can be purchased from a dealer at any time.
